Why do the Nets want to sign Shelden AND Shawne Williams? They should have signed Roger Mason and Q Rich while they were at it.

i like Shawne, and i don't want to diminish his contribution to this team, but i wish i could dig up all the old posts where people were calling Shawne a scrub and accusing Donnie of being senile for picking him over PEJ.

Only reason people wanted PEJ was because it was PEJ. Nobody knew anything about Shawne and it was nothing against his talent. Both guys had played equally well last training camp and people were saying "if both are playing well, just choose PEJ for nostalgia's sake, none of them would play anyway". Shawne turned out to be a nice surprise for the team.
