Hornet and Magics will receive a first round pick and end up with a low draft pick in a solid draft.

Those two teams will show players they wont be bullied into trading them.

Apparently ownership rejected the deal and ended negotiations for Howard when Smith presented the offer. Orlando and New Orleans could end up with nothing for their franchise players. New Orleans also has the bad rap that the league office is running the team and allegedly kept upping the ante on LA in negotiations.

also a rumor out there that the Lakers are making a move.

unless the Nets somehow got a lot more assets, i can't see how orlando would accept that deal for dwight. that's like instant lotto status for years.

inShareShare on TumblrEmailinShare4Share on Tumblr According to Lakers play by play announcer John Ireland it appears the New Jersey Nets are going to land Dwight Howard as soon as tomorrow.

On 710 ESPN Radio Ireland stated that he heard a rumor from a source that Howard to the Nets would go down as early as Tuesday.

This is the same source that correctly predicted LeBron James and Chris Bosh joining Dwyane Wade in Miami last summer.

Theoretically the Lakers still have the best offer on the table if they’re willing to part with both Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum, but that is a lot to give up for one player.

It seems that unless Los Angeles is willing to part with both their big men Howard will end up in New Jersey to play with Deron Williams and the Nets.

Have a nice season in Newark. This is great for the Knicks as it will establish a real intra-city rivalry ext season. Things are really looking up for hoops in New York... big time!
