umm is it me or is something missing here. The Big 3in Boston were considered such because they were all All-Stars. Same went for Miami. Not looking to put Tyson or my team down but shouldn't it be the Big 2plus. Can't be big 3 till Tyson makes an Allstar Team.
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Carmelo Anthony is tired of hearing that he and Amare Stoudemire can't play together, and Mike D'Antoni is tired of hearing of Mike Woodson being called "a defensive assistant."

Well, we at ESPNNewYork.com were tired of hearing "The Big Three" reference in the NBA, and we weren't going to let that happen to Anthony, Stoudemire and Tyson Chandler.

On Monday, we gave you some of our ideas for nicknames for the trio, and asked for your submissions. Based on the creativity and popularity that followed -- make that 1,110 comments by late Tuesday night, which easily broke the record for a Knicks Blog post -- here's our top 10 list:

The MTA (a mixup of Melo, Amare and Tyson's first initials, and a reference to NYC's subway system)
ATM (the trio's initials)
Broadway ACT III (so fitting with the "C" for Carmelo, and there's obviously three of them)
NY3 (a play on "NYC")
The NYC Skyline
The Triborough Trio
The Broadway Bigs
The Tri-scrapers (a play on "skyscrapers")
MACLovin (a play on the McLovin character from the movie "Superbad")
The Triple Threats

Five notables: The Tri-STAT (a play on "tri-state" and Amare's "STAT" nickname; they are definitely "standing tall" being that they play the 3 through 5 positions), The STAT Squad, The Triple Towers, The Garden Gang and The Big Apples
