I LOVE EVERYTHING that Iman has brought to the table so far, and I'd LOVE to drink the Cool-Aid, too, BUT.....how about we actually watch him against real competition x 15 games before we anoint him the ROY.

It's just for fun man. If you feel like a kid has a chance to be ROY, then why be afraid to say it??? I liked this kid early on and haven't had too many others here who jumped on the bandwagon, but now people are starting to see what i've been talking about. Look at what mark Jackson said about his rookie Klay Thompson! He said he was gonna be Rookie of the year too.

Klay Thompson Receives ROY Prediction From Jackson
Dec 13, 2011 11:25 PM EST

Mark Jackson is bullish on Klay Jackson after just one practice with the Warriors.

"Klay Thompson will play right away," Jackson told reporters after Tuesday's practice. "He's that good."

Jackson predicts Thompson will win the 2012 Rookie of the Year. He is expected to primarily get minutes at wing backing up Monta Ellis and Dorell Wright, but Thompson could also see sporadic action at point guard.

I think some people, especially me, are very HIGH on this kid. We believe, he has the the ability to make a run at it.
The more footage we see on this kid, the more we confirm our beliefs.
It's funny how we also have some doubters.

I believe his strength is being able to defend at the PG situation. The harder he works, the more practices he has, the more video he watches, the more veterans guide/help him develop, and one day, its going to all add up to All Star status. That is the main reason, I would love to acquire Nash in the off season, if not, even Kidd would be a great
mentor. I would be looking to try to get them at a discount, preferably not with MLE, another exemption such as Bi Annual or veterans, whatever is left to use.
You can tell, watching yesterdays practice, the veterans and coaches both love this kid.

He has the "killer instinct" to go with that toughness, defensive awareness, mentality and carries that pride on him with the team.
The combination of his physical talents and work ethic, he has all the tools to become a star...

I'm not a "doubter", I'm a realist.
I WANT this kid to succeed as much as you do!
But, Iman hasn't even played against NBA competition and
some of us are drinking gallons of Cool Aid and already have him
as a future star and ROY.
Seems a little premature to me, no?

Mike D'Antoni made a decision about Landry Fields before the season began. He decided he was a starter, and stuck with him the whole season. He didn't put his toe in the water first, and start Landry as a backup, he went all of the way from the very beginning. Mike D'Antoni has also made a decision about Shump. He has already said the Iman would get significant minutes this season, before he has played a single game in a Knick's uniform. One tip off is Shump's self confidence. Can you imagine how much confidence you need to have to walk up to Melo before the season starts while in a practice that is being that is shown to a television audience and tell Melo that he isn't going do any of his spin moves on him?

Some people think with their gut, and other people don't make decisions without a great more deal of evidence. Doesn't make one or the other right. Its just what works for each of them. I too think the Iman is going to make Donnie Walsh look like a genius a second time around, and Jorts may also make him proud as well.
