I think its just unlikely that anyone would trade for Billups, why trade for someone when they can bid for him, knowing we must amnesty him if we dont trade him.

However, I wonder if we can send a package of players with Turiaf to pry Mosgov, Affalo, or Wilson Chandler.
Mosgov seems unlikely because Nene is gone. Birdman and Mosgov would be alright. I am not sure if they can even use Turiaf because their rookie, Kenneth Faried and Jordan Hamilton.

Harrington is owed about 28million in the next 4 years.
He is however, one of the better players that they have left.
They can probably use him right now but might be amnestied if a player becomes viable.

From my understanding, the Knicks must amnesty Billup's to get Tyson Chandler.
However, once they amnesty him, they are considered under the cap, therefore, they can trade with Denver without restriction in regards to salary.
But we would have to save enough salary to offer Tyson Chandler 58-60m for 4 years.

Knicks are in the range of 59,550,000, if Brown is released. Also not signing, our rookies, or Jared Jeffries yet.

If so, this trade isn't a bad deal.
We take a bad contract out of Harrington, bring back the Mayor or Mosgov, we basically lose Fields, but gain MLE to use...
Is this what the hold up is all about? to make the number's work?
The lockout, messed up, the FA signing's and season starting salaries. So I am not sure, if there is a loophole to be gained from this.

I hope someone can tell me if this would work, cause I keep thinking of ways in which we can improve our roster and regain the MLE...
If we can't regain the MLE, what do you guys think about Wilson Chandler or MosGov but we have to take Al Harrington's contract back?
