i thought denver might take turiaf to partially make up for losing Nene. use turiaf, birdman and mozgov as a 3-headed monster.

wonder if Wilson Chandler who is clearly not happy in Denver would be included in any deal. We could definitely use his scoring and D off the bench

that's not terrible

Hill is going to the Spurs, apparently.

Where is the Hill to Spurs news... that's kind of surprising.

Not too surprising...Berman was the only one who was saying Knicks had a chance and he's always wrong.

Adande reported it on Twitter/ESPN. Too lazy to find it now.

don't forget Jefferies man, that's important.

Also, Landry.

oh damn. i did forget about him. that's how bad he played in the playoffs.

Yeah, I'm hoping he just hit the rookie wall and he'll be better this season.

Dallas don't want Billups. They have to pay him.

Good use for amnesty until we really need it.

On Knicks-Chandler front, sources say it looks like Billups will be amnestied and Turiaf will be sent out in separate deal. No sign/trade.

Major bummer almost at a humdinger level.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

what's wrong with using amnesty to get a real center? they could only use amnesty on contracts from last CBA, so: Billups, Melo, Amar'e, Balkman, Turiaf, Toney were the options.

Nothing wrong with getting a center. But Billups contract should not be hard to move, I don't understand why we have to waste the amnesty on that. It should be retained as an insurance against injury to one of our players. They can't find a team that will take Billups? Duck Fenver BTW.

why take him in a trade if they know they can claim off the amnesty wire and the knicks will pay the majority of his salary?

It's not just finding a team to trade with; it's being able to take back little to no salary to sign Chandler.

it's a MAJOR bummer because we just amnestied a guy whose option we could have declined. just more mismanagement. i understand that you can't predict the future, but this is just hard to swallow. we picked up his option and then we amnestied him. just feels like we threw away a huge insurance policy on Amare's contract.

Well nothing is official yet. The laker's deal is more solid than what we have right now. We still don't know all the details.

I think that's exactly what they're trying to do. I could be wrong but I think we want to make sure Billups leaves satisfied. And in the end, hopefully it will work out for both.
