Dominating front courts do damage in the playoffs. Say NO to CP3.

I don't believe that Amar'e is on the block.

For one thing - no team would ever want his uninsured contract for 4yrs $82M.

I guess we're stuck with the best front court in the NBA.

The factor other than the bad press this would cause in dumping Amare after he brings NY basketball back to relevance would be the fact that the Hornets are now owned by the league.

Is Stern going to really allow the Hornets to exchange their best player for a $100 million dollar player, whose contract is uninsured?

crzymdups beat me to it.

If the Knicks' next move is to engage NOR in CP3 talks for Stoudemire, this is not something that Amar'e would be happy with, at all.

pure speculation, not even a rumor there. He said if....never said "sources say" or "I heard" or "Word going around."

No news here

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

If you thinking cp3 then its to complete the bestest of bestest friends. Cp3 and Tyson are pals also from what I can read.

So lets just pretend Amare is on the block and you want Paul.

Amare in Nola not logical for a host of reasons, but the qustion is who got what Nola wants for Amare?

What could a three way yield to Nola if you use Orlando? Amare in Orlando with dwight? Can orlando Make Nola happy?

Can AMare in Lakerland and Lakes send bynum and change make Nola happy?

To some teams, AMare is a better asset. He does not have the leverage for "extension" to hold over a franchise. AMare in Warriors for Curry?

There are lots of moving parts but a three way with Amare is easier than Paul.

Paul could be a knick.

I prefer to keep Amare but I just don't know if he can play with melo. Or Melo can play with him.

They are knicks, but they are divas! They are our divas!

I'd do it for Melo. He's the guy that slows down our offense and doesn't try much on d. When Amare came, he made us a better team. That didn't happen with Melo.

Same. Except that CP3 wants to run with Melo.

random and complete speculation:

you know that three-way with the Rockets/Lakers/Hornets that has Pau to the Rockets, CP3 to Lakers and Scola to Hornets?

what if the Knicks plan is to replace Pau in that equation. Amar'e to the Rockets, CP3 to Knicks and Scola to Hornets?

Just utter speculation on my part, but I'd think Amar'e is more attractive than Pau. I'd be really bummed if this happened, but there is a GAPING hole at PG right now.

if we trade Amare then we have a gaping hole in the frontcourt and we go back to becoming a jumpshooting team with a center who can't score. We will get a decent pg if not this year then definitely next year like Nash or Felton. Right now I would be thrilled with Tyson, Andre miller or baron and grant hill. Miami is in trouble I just hope Lakers don't get both Paul & Howard

Yeah its interesting the way posters talk about Melo. Amare has been WORSE on D, not even paying attention on defense as people drive to the hoop. I get that he made us relevant again, but the guy sucks on D, and rebounds very poorly. Melo sucks on D and is the best rebounder in the league at his position. Thats kind of a big deal to me, but maybe its me.

amare won at least 3 games last season with a game-saving block. not a defensive powerhouse, but not worse than melo.

agreed. playing next to chandler, amar'e will be freed up to patrol the weak side for blocks. knicks defense will be soooo much improved because of chandler (and mike woodson will get all the credit!)
