He's obviously not a good rebounder for a C, but part of the reason his rebounding was down last year was because Humphries was a monster on the boards and took some away from him. If he was partnered with a typical PF, he'd get 8-9 boards a night.

8-9 boards a game is horrible for a C his size, typical PF or not.

And he'd still be the best rebounder on our team.

LOL, first Lopez must demonstrate that he is able to out rebound any one of the Knicks's starting PF, starting SF and starting SG, which he wasn't able to do last year.

You guys are crazy. His rebounding is a problem or lack of, but 20 points and a Block a half out of your center isn't a role player. The guy is diffidently on that next level of Center after Dwight. He's more offensive than the other guys, but he does protect the rim pretty well. Rebounding is his short coming defensively.

Lopez is a bad team superstar. Guys like him get over on bad teams, they don't lift bad teams. Look at how the better 7'ers tend to raise the level of play of the teams they're on. Lopez has no effect! His scoring is wasted cuz he's so poor in other areas. Someone brought win shares in reference to Amar'e and so it's only fair show Lopez as well. It's still Early in his career so we have to give him time to improve, but so far he's not lighting up the league.

Thru 3 Years Win Shares (Best to Worst)
Player Sim 1 2 3
Brook Lopez 7.9 6.3 5.8

The guy has a high usage rate of 27 and as such he should have more of a positive impact on his team. The problem is he doesn't really defend well, doesn't really rebound at an acceptable rate for a star Center and he's not a very big passer. Dude avg'd SIX REBOUNDS LAST YEAR!!! That's just plain lazy.

Bad team star??? That makes zero sense. The guy is 23 years and plays the easiest position to keep the ball away from. And did I mention he is only 23??? I mean it took Curry what, until he was 25years old to a similar season??? Brook Lopez is way ahead of the curve for how long it takes from most of these big guys to actually produce in the NBA, and he's not even anywhere near his peak. Plus you add that he has been doing this on probably the worst team in the NBA since has entered the league.

Nobody is Dwight Howard, but if you are looking at the next group of centers, you can't say Brook Lopez isn't as good as any of them.

I'm not sure Humphries is to blame for Lopez's rebounding. Brook's rebounding rate has steadily decreased since he came to the league, while his usage rate steadily increases. I think he's just having a tough time balancing his offensive role with his defensive responsibilities.

I agree. He's flawed, but he puts points up. Garbage man 4's are a dime a dozen and he just needs one by his side. 7 fters who can score aren't. This isn't bad value for Howard. There is no equal value for him, cuz he's the most unique talent in the league.

I wonder if the Nyets pull this off, does Deron's agent start singing a different tune?

Is Brooklyn and JayZ really that much of a draw to anyone any more?

It's only a matter of time until Prokorov gets extradited for some black market ponzi scheme or something anyway...
