Jorts, Jordan, Turiaf are not going to get it done. There are point guards that will command less than the max like Felton, Nash etc that can fill in and allow us to actually have nice depth on the roster.
I agree 100%. We also seem to forget that we have Billups. He's older, but if he can stay healthy he's going to be great. Remember the Orlando game he got hurt? He was the best player on the court that night. And a week leading up to that game he was playing great. If the Knicks are serious about building a contender they'd go after Jordan, Chandler or any of the other good big men and build around what we have going.
And if Billups gets hurt, he's off the books next year and we can go out and get Nash or someone and keep our cap space.
Knicks have HUGE holes at C and PG which are two of the HARDEST positions to fill in the NBA.
Realistically though their are a few overpaid PG's we can get on the cheap who are likely to be waived. (Arenas, Hinrich, Davis, Udrih, etc)
None of those guys are better than Chris Paul but they dont need to be playing next to Carmelo and Amare.
