Add another malcontent, has-been, prima dona PG to our franchise? Yeah, right.

I'm sure..but amnesty means competitive bidding and precludes teams so far over the salary cap from the 'initial' process so that's just 'fud' unless of course no one else wants them

Under the about-to-be-rubber-stamped program, teams such as the Heat and Lakers that are operating well above the salary cap would therefore be precluded from bidding on such players, able to move only on amnesty players who receive no partial bids in the waiver process. For the Heat, it would be a blow in the bid to add depth around LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

Baron Davis is a good player, but how smart is he? Does he know we have our own PG named Chauncey Billups? I guess he would accept a bench role or something. Miami and LA are far better fits.

how about anyone... I mean anyone who plays defense?

Our core:
Bilups: celebrating 50th birthday next month
Melo: Has yet to play defense in the NBA. No doubt coaching
Amare: Defends now and then but damn that **** is tiring

that would be typical Knicks... get a coach to fix players who dont defend. Where's Larry Brown?

I take B-Diddy over Chauncy any day. Dude isn't unmotivated, he was injured. He got healthy and played well for the clips before being traded. People tried to say he would dog it with the Cav's but the guy played and conducted himself like a leader in the games I saw.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

LB's an assistant coach in China; Marbles is going to be a great HOF PG someday!

Where's a thread about all the possible has-beens that could help this team to go nowhere?

I completely agree. Plus he can run a PnR much better.

Problem is I don't think he would ever get to the Knicks because I believe under the cap teams get first crack on a waiver wire before any amnestied player can become a free agent. I think a team would probably snatch him up before he would become unrestricted. So alot of talented players may not be in the cards for the Knicks.

Someone please correct me if this is not the case

You get a Davis or Lewis at the right price and they actually could thrive on the Knicks....neither is a favorite of mine though...

your right about over the cap team like New York getting the last crack at these guys but, I don't think many teams will snatch up a guy who they know doesn't want to play for them. You want a floor general to buy into your plan so, I have hope that if he gets waived, we have a good chance at him.

Some people have him penciled in as going back to LA some how but, he already played for his home town once and got traded. I don't see the Lakers picking him up.
