Well they don't have to rush and make any crazy deals. Melo is still young enough that our window is gonna be wide open for a good 5-7 years. That's the beauty of bringing in stars in their primes. The Celtics have been Rolling as contenders now for 4 years and KG was already 31 when they brought him in and Ray Allen was 32!!! We've got STAT and Melo under 30. That's not a bad scenario going forward. KG and Allen are now 35 and 36 and were darned productive at that age. STAT is 28 and Melo is 27. You add that to having a very good cap situation and this team is in great shape.

Melo and Pierce do have some similar attributes. A 35 year old melo is gonna be like pierce, a "ragetty man!"
