I think you're wrong. Iman is a R. Westbrook type of player. He's a good defender, can run the point and play as a SG. He's big, quick, explosive, rebounds, creative with the ball... In what way is Iman not like Westbrook? When this kid gets it going I think he's going to be a special player. Iman got to the line almost 6x a game and hit at 80%. Iman is bigger than Westbrook, but almost as fast end to end and he's even more explosive than Westbrook, which is hard to believe, but true. Iman is a ball hawk and since he rebounds well, can start the break for this team and push the ball more than we've been getting from our PG's so far.

I'm curious to hear why he's not like Westbrook.

It was Hahn who wrote that he wouldn't be surprised if our pick was really made with NO in mind.

Given our history of using draft picks to build the team, I would not be shocked if there isn't an element of truth to the story - that at least could be part of the reason they took Iman over Singleton.

Not saying we had any kind of deal in place- but simply we were laying the ground work for a potential trade.

Would anyone be surprised at a Billups/Iman for Nash/Lopez type trade?

MDA may convince management that Nash can be like Kidd and play into his 40's.

well, one thing d'antoni can do is showcase talent to trade. he will use iman for that. remember that nash would be a rental if we get him this year, we wont have him next year since it was said that 2012 is another key year. do we sacrifice depth again for that? also, if defense is the only answer, singleton was labeled the best defender in the draft and he was on the board. now, i am not saying that we SHOULD have gotten him because he reminds me of donnell harvey and we remember what happened to him ( or maybe not) but just playing devils advocate.

MDA likes athletic players who can run......Don't see why this pick is a stretch. He plays "good" rookies also.

If Sun beat writers want to create a story its not foreign to us.

Knick fans are Sooooooo Media savvy we nevvvvvvvver take the bait!
