Is Gray a free agent? He would be a nice pick up. I think he is the type of player Harrellson has to try to become. If the two of them got some minutes the Knicks would have some size to help with their front line.

player option, but he's making peanuts so I would guess he opts out, even with the CBA uncertainty

You can stay: Shelden, Carter, Shawne

GTFO right now: Jeffries

Chances are most of the guys I just listed will be gone.

I was with you until I saw Shelden in the "you can stay" row.

I want us to keep Extra E and yes Shelden. He can play backup mins at forward with some Defense in case of injury etc.

I'd rather give his minutes (and maybe more) to Harrellson than resigning Sheldon.

To me it would be:

GTFO: Jeffries, Balkman, Rautins (would love to be proved wrong but really, when is he gonna become even a 3-pt specialist, don't even mention backup PG)

Thanks but Bye: Sheldon, Walker

Can stay or not: Douglas, Carter, Turiaf, Shawne

I hope the NY Knicks aren't going to 'over value' there other roster pieces
mainly Toney Douglas, Shawne Williams and Billy Carter whom I like alot.

My concern is not this upcoming yr (once strike is over) but the future
upcoming NBA drafts. The drafts of 2012 and 2013 is deemed to be deep and
more talent than this past 2011.

As many of nba junkies in Ny knows Knicks got NO Picks (zip) next season
add to Walsh being gone as consultant in June 2012, This Glen Grunwald guy
need to do some deals similiar to SA Spurs whom still is considerable ahead of
our Knicks in being able to compete for NBA title.

Spurs sent skilled guard George Hill (non star or no superstar) back home to Pacers
for getting 3 NBA picks in return!

Knicks need to plan for such transactions.
Dont get me wrong I hope my man Landry Fields has a comeback 2nd yr and other Knicks
develop but if you need to move Toney Douglas and Shawne Williams, add Walker in there
while their play/skills are high and in demand I'd move these guys in a drop-second for
drafts OR other needs (rebounders, players with expiring contracts + picks)

Knicks are one of few teams giving away picks for past 10 yrs gotta stop
This is a younger competitive NBA and exciting. Knicks got 2 stars and can't stop now.
Its obvious NY aint winning a division or compete for NBA Title at least for 2-3 more yrs
but we need draft talents coming into league soon.

We're in bad draft shape in 2012, 2013 a bit better but whole of NBA seems to have picks
regardless of draft and we're always in poorest position to really get into drafting properly.
That's gotta stop

Who is Billy Carter?

Billy Carter was the younger brother of President Jimmy Carter and a real character.
Billy Carter was neither the first nor the last brother to embarrass a president, but he was surely the most colorful....

In the summer of 1976, with the press gathered in Plains to get acquainted with the surprising Democratic nominee for president, Billy Carter became a star. "Yes, I'm a real southern boy," Billy admitted over drinks with reporters at his gas station across from campaign headquarters. "I got a red neck, white socks, and Blue Ribbon beer." When asked about his family, ... "My mother went into the Peace Corps when she was 68. My one sister is a motorcycle freak, my other sister is a Holy Roller evangelist and my brother is running for president. I'm the only sane one in the family."

Wow, I can't believe some Knick fans don't even know that Billy Carter is on the roster.

Maybe they physically merged Billy Walker and Anthony Carter into 1 player - Billy Carter. He only takes up 1 roster spot.

You all know in here,
we can all start a TV/cable comedy show & get some quick $$$ moneys
I am all for making some cash in any legit way possible
(of course without appearing on Jerry Springer show!)

However I'm not sure if I can be as funny humorously
but it would get a few ratings.

Call it Knick-Comedy forum hour
hehe
