My guess is the Timberwolves are closer to a title than we are!

Kahn might be a lot of things but to succeed you have to have a vision and take chances. Dolan does not do this. He prefers paying 110% on proven talent.

No Im not a Timberwolve fanboy, but I like what he is doing.

I just spit my coffee up right on the damn key board...Dude are you nuts??

Mini has a bunch of talanted players who can't win, there roster is more unbalance then any team in the NBA, no one compliments each other, there tremendously young, and the GM trades and drafts talant, not need..

There's no direction, just stock up on talanted and draft picks and go from there....AhHH Really..is that how works...not even the ymca buddy..

Here's one of your quotes...Old guy kicks your ass with fundamentals you learn a thing or two. Take the lesson! THAT IS GOOD!

It's a no secrete why dallas end up winning it this year, the team was made up of some savvy veterens that never got rattle when they where down by double digits..experience is eveyrthing in sports

How funny would it be if the Cavs did take Kanter instead of williams or Irving. This would basically leave Kahn with the decission between these two... both playing positions pretty stacked on the roster already...
Ahhh... just pick another PG!!!

I'd be laughing my arse off. Could only imagine the reaction from Wolves fans.

So your saying the old dude tennis players with strong fundamentals can beat the Wolves?

Your a little all over the place.

I'll try though........

I know what minny HAS been, but its what can be with picks and assets.

If they take Williams or Irving they can make a trade with that asset to get what they need. I doubt cleveland takes Kanter and keeps him.

Yeah, it would be funny though.

Team won 17 games last year. I recognize that. I think the coach did a horrible job last year as a rookie coach. Question is do you bring him back a year smarter or replace?

I don't revel in any teams failures. As a knick fan I am way too humbled to smack talk other franchises. Minny finally got their man. If the plan was good Flynn should have been a more valuable trade asset.

I don't laugh at other teams anymore. We have done many stupid things in the last 10 years.

How do I make sense of this post, but OK I'll try.........

First I want to say You call a spade a spade! 17 wins is 17 wins I don't care how much talent and assets you have. You are talking about could be so why not talk about what the knicks could be? Let's say we catch breaks in the off-season and get a very good role player, and they play above there heads and Amare & Melo have great years and Fields bounce back from the second half of the year. What is the ceiling? I think they can't play with any team in the league if some of these thing happen. I just don't believe potential is better then players ready now.

In the Knick of time. Knickal for Your thoughts.

ESPN is saying that the Wolves might trade the number 2 pick who they believe is Williams to get a vet since they just got Rubio. Phoenix, Cleveland among others interested in dealing.

Hey, its a knick site and Im all for Knicks winning a title and put my nightmare to rest!

Im the guy that don't like the starphuch, im the guy who believes you draft your star, im the guy who hates even more starphuch coach and starphuch GM hires!

I don't mind Free agent signings and Im ok with Amare around a young team. I don't have a vivid enough imagination to say what the team could have morphed into without trading Melo.

I ok with melo, just not the price we paid for a pending free agent. If melo wanted the money first thats ok with him. We paid full retail for him. That I don't like.

A 17 win team is a disaster. I said I could see the Wolves winning a title before the knicks. Not that I want this to happen!

Here's study that was performed on the level of drop off players usually experience when they move up to the NBA.It appears in Kevin Pelton and Bradford Doolittle's Basketball Prospectus 2010-2011. I think it will give a little perspective as to why many people, including me, aren't so enthusiastic about Rubio's contributions in his rookies season. Of course there are exception to every rule.

Table 1: Drop Off For NBA
Players, By League
League Drop Off
Euroleague -12.8%
D-League -20.8%
NCAA - Georgetown -24.4%
NCAA - Average Pro -25.3%
EuroCup -25.4%
NCAA - Harvard -36.2%

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick

I think Kahn has made a few good moves lately. He basically got Beasley and Randolph for nothing. That's two young players with a lot of upside to add to Love. His problem has been the draft. Flynn looks like a bust and Rubio is looking like a serious question mark based on almost no progress at all over the last two years. Last year's pick (Wesley Johnson) was also a bit of a disappointment.

He has the right idea though.

Free agents aren't going to go to Minnesota. So the idea for him is to pile up young players and draft picks, hope a few develop into solid players, and use some of them to fill in the holes later with trades.

The T Wolves may not have won many games last year, but they were "in" a real lot of them and failed to "close" because they are so young. If by some chance Rubio plays decent ball, Randolph/Beasley/Johnson develop, this year's pick contributes etc... they could easily win 30+ games next year and be on their way with a team absolutely loaded with young talent.
