I thought 97.5 was nothing but Phillies talk??? What the eff is STAT doing on there?

Great, the Mavs win it all, so now we are following the Dallas model... prior to this, everyone was following the Laker model, then it was the Big 3 model, then is was the BeattheBeatles model....

How about just building a team that can play together for about 4-5 years, instead of jerry-rigged old people who can't play a hint of defense? What about a New York Knicks model?

Oh wait, I almost forgot who owns us...

This is what totally sucks about losing Walsh. Even if you didnt like his choice of coaches, he's a guy who understands TEAM concept. What we have now are two guys who will sell jerseys and ensure we make the playofffs each year. Walsh was a guy who would really scour for players with skills that actually fit. Look at Landry Fields pre Melo trade. The Knicks need quality rotation players, but they really needed pieces that will fit and compliment Melo/Amare. I trust Walsh to find those pieces or strikeout trying.

Dolan's regime? This is how smart they are: They will look at the Mavs, see Dirk, see Marion, Terry and Kidd and go out and put some over the hill 30+ veterans next to Melo/Amare that has no rhyme or reason in the team concept.

What kind of team are we? MSG regimes of the past just tried to upgrade players or hit homeruns with no sense of team. Walsh has aquired extra picks/players as well. Like to see that happen next week also.

After how the Melo trade was butchered I have zero confidence anything good will happen. I will watch because i'm a sucker though

Salaries 2011-12:
Nash $11.7 mil
Billups $14.2

Nash is 2 1/2 years older.

No. Nash doesn't play defense, we don't need yet another hole to fill.

At this point in his career, Billups isn't playing great d either.

I'll take this one step further.....I propose a bigger trade :
Knicks give up Billups plus either Walker or TD + our #17th pick + $3 mil for
Phoenix gives up Nash + Robin Lopez + 13th pick

Nash would be great here. We move up in the draft and also get a center.
Phoenix gets a younger Chauncey B vs Nash + get a good young player + $ + a pick only 4 above what they are giving up. And they move a disgruntled Robin Lopez.

That trade seems like robbery, although I wonder why Lopez didn't get more money in Phoenix. Phoenix really has no reason to take that deal, though.

Phoenix has advantages - Nash is 37; Billups is 34. At this point, they are about equal in ability. They get a good young player equal to a disgruntled Robin Lopez who isn't projecting to be a starting center at this point. And, as Martin said, $3 mil. Maybe there is someone else needed to make the deal work, but I think it is do-able.

the part that is not do-able is the fact that Nash drives fans to the PHO stadium, and unless PHO gets a ton for Nash, he ain't going nowhere.

That is unfortunate for us. I have been hoping for Nash for the past 3 years. I still hope.

Crap. I meant to ask why Lopez didn't get more minutes there as I was being skeptical of his talent. I know he's a seven-footer, but that doesn't make you any good despite people's fascination otherwise.

This. The only advantage Phoenix gets is that they get cap flexibility, but them not playing in the Chris Paul/Dwight Howard sweepstakes makes that moot.

I think he has also had back injuries that have limited his minutes. Gortat played well too.

How about offense so potent it can't be stopped model?

Knicks win like that, other teams fans will want to copy us!

MDA will be hired away cuz Dolan will mess it up and we'll be crying!

Just kidding, we do need more defense! But these NBA guys love to talk. They love to say the right things.

one thing counts and thats what happens on the court and on the court only!

The rest is crap. I don't want to react to who is at Tim Grovers working out, who got tits, who is eating better, etc.

Show it.
