Great article by Chad Ford. I still dont think Biyombo is 18. So I'm rolling with Jeremy Tyler.

Interesting read. The age issue aside, the kid has a tremendous work ethic, it would seem, and has not shied away from challenges.

Comes across as being a solid kid, and lets face it, he's had to grow up pretty fast given his circumstances.

The age issue still annoys me, for some reason, and it is surely something the scouts are looking at. Has to do with his development as a player, and how much you might expect him to improve, I guess. At 21/22 you are not as impressed with his physical characteristics, and you wonder why he is not more polished as a player.

Whenever I read this kind of stuff I soften up my opposition to prospects I do not want the Knicks to take, and that goes for this story too.

I still believe, though, that there's too much risk if you take this guy too early and bypass certain safe-bet players who are more ready to play. He is worth a late first if he drops, though, and I'd have no problem buying such a pick to take him.

yeah for sure. For every late blooming Ben Wallace there are a dozens of Sene's and Ian Mahinmi's.

You just never want to pass up on a 18 year old Kobe.
