a liability for shooting, not for rebounding or dunking.

I wondered about that. I have relatively small hands and though I was a good shooter I really had to have the ball perfectly in my hands. I always thought middle sized hands would be the best for shooting (judging by how big a basketball is). Big hands seems like it would be worse than smaller hands - too much to go wrong...

As was said, the guy can probably pull down rebounds though.

While Big Hands may factor in with shooting they have no determining factor on what type of player you'll be
