i'm intrigued by shumpert.

it's gotta be a BPA selection - we can't go on need, because we have too many needs!

Darius Morris seems like a great idea if he's still there when we pick. I LOVE big PG's and if this kid is there I think Donnie and Mike would love him. A pure PG with size and BB IQ. He's a good shooter and should be able to develop the NBA 3. I also really liked what I heard during his interviews online. The kid seems to be smart and gets it. He's a Landry type and that fits right in with what Mike loves from his players. He should be able to see the floor very well at his size and with targets like STAT and Melo he should be able to be successful here as he learns the NBA game from CB. Reggie Jackson also seems like a decent prospect as well.

He's not a good shooter, thats the thing. Andre Miller carved out a good career with a similar skill set, and size, but this is a different NBA. Rose and westbrook are big AND super fast.

Andre Miller was the 8th pick in a guard heavy draft.

The Answer Man Is A Lover Not A Fighter

Killa4luv - Weastbrook may be superfast, that is a rare skill set. Westbrook is also immature. He got a little too selfish when it mattered most.

Give The Answer Man he player who can make intelligent decisions on the court. Darius Morris is a leader, not a shooter. Shooting, as players like David Lee have demonstrated, can be worked on and improved.

The Knicks could use another thinking man's thinking man, man.

Q. nixluva Did you see the passes he made starting at about 2:20 of the video?

A. Yes, yes I did. I also heard the announcer say the words we love to hear,... "triple double."

Speed, quickness and athleticism aside, Morris has a nose for the ball and truly understands the game. He makes tons of intangible plays or those (you dont see in box scores) plays. If Marshon Brooks is off the board, I wouldn't mind taking him.

can we get a moment of sobriety on josh selby? i become more intrigued by the day that this kid is a monta ellis waiting in the wings. knicks could really use a guard who can break down D and score in bunches -- i really don't think he's a terrible fit and allows MDA to run a bit again. also would allow carmelo to worry less about scoring every time and free up energy for defense and rebounding -- something we sorely need from our "superstar"

.

At least if we're right on Jeremy Tyler, we get a stud, who's a big man. Darius Morris isn't projected by anyone to be anything more than a solid role player.

Darius Morris - if he has no shot he's of no use if he can't penetrate.

Jeremy Tyler - 13% body fat - no thank you

The more I read up on Greg Smith the more I like him....

Rose is not the answer.

You've got to be kidding me. On a big man, a little extra weight is no big deal. Making them lose weight is easy, gaining weight is the hard part. And Jeremy Tyler looks like he can ball.
Plus he's super athletic even with that weight.

I wonder sometime if people on this forum even pay attention to what actually happens in the NBA? Morris can't shoot? You mean like CP3, Westbrook or Rose? How many times do we have to see PG's come in with weak shooting and develop a shot in time? Besides Darius shot 49% this year. I can't say how he scores most of his points but he did something right.

He's not slow either. He did a 3.20 in the sprint which may not be blazing but ain't slow. Remember he's got the best assist rate which is the main feature of a PG.

Why compare Darius Morris to Top 5 lottery picks? Where is Rajon Rondo's jumper?

Darius Morris isnt going to do much in the NBA anytime soon.

Jeremy Typer jumps higher with the added weight/fat. However Im concerned that he has been playing professionally the last 2 years and is still somewhat out of shape. Plus he seems to have Kwame Browns motor.

I liked Greg Smiths interview. I really love his attitude plus he has huge hands which is always good. Seems like he would be an NBA professional. Compares himself to Al Horford in being a guy who can get you 10 and 10. At least he isnt delusional.

I think Jeremy Tyler has more potential but he needs to go to a team like the Spurs to develop.

Greg Smith has a lot of Antonio Davis in his game. This is the kid I want targeted. Need to get a couple of second round picks and pick this cat and Benson.

I dont think he lasts to the 2nd round once he gets into private workouts.

Could be. Purchase a late 1st? Either way, I want Smith and Benson on our roster in the summer league. We need redwoods for our team.

That would be a dream come true for me. I would grab Benson in the first round. Him, Jajuan Johnson or Jeremy Tyler I would grab in round 1. We need bigs. Greg Smith didn't do much in NCAA but has a great body, is athletic and big. Hes not a skilled player but id definitely give him a look in the 2nd round if we can buy a pick.

I dont want a 220lb Center. We need a big body in the middle. Amare is 240 and he cant guard centers on the full time basis. I like Greg Smith or Jeremy Tyler at 17.
