I haven't seen anyone truly able to shut him down.As for Marc being able to play for MDA, let's get real here. We haven't run SSOL since Mike has been here. We haven't had the horses to run fullout. SSOL you'd see the team run even off makes. We haven't had PG's that are able to run that much nor players that felt comfortable going that fast. Duhon never pushed the ball. Remember how Gallo and Chan struggled to play fast and Mike slowed the tempo down? Felton couldn't run PnR at 1st and when he did for a while we still didn't really go SSOL. Once the trade was made we totally ditched the SSOL part of the playbook, so clearly Mike can coach a team playing a more halfcourt style. That's what we've been doing for most of his time here. The biggest issue is we haven't had a real center to put in there.
knicks had the second fastest pace in the NBA and scored the second most points in the NBA.
the pace of his suns teams was insane and nobody in the NBA approaches that level. that being said, felton clearly had the hang of the offense at the time he was traded and was running it pretty well.
"clearly Mike can coach a team playing a more halfcourt style." -- if by "coach" you mean that he stands there and watches, i guess he can coach. i don't think it is clear that he's a good coach at that style -- knicks were basically playing 500 ball. if the knicks are going to be a halfcourt, defensive team, then i question whether

is the man for the job.
i agree, C is the biggest need.
