i wanted melo. i thought the price was too high. i think the fact that the deal was made with days left before the deadline was a pretty clear indication that we didn't play it as firmly as we could have. i think the Knicks caved. that was a tremendous package to give away, by a team with future cap space, for a player who could become a free agent. to me, the circumstances were such that the Knicks were in a position of strength, however, they played it weak and i blame Dolan for that. i don't hold it against Melo though. the guy wanted his money at all costs and i can't blame him.
