This not going to be done in public what melo thinks.

Rondo was traded cuz they had nash. Whoa!

But Nash had back problems and was a sieve on defense. Drafting Rondo they both are the alter of what the other lacks. Rondo could have become a trading chip too. Fans this year were co-signing a Felton/Douglas....Billups/Douglas backcourt

Funny how things get rationalized in the minds before and after pending results.... because when Zeke made this move...

It was so crazy fans thought it just might work.

But Rondo and Nash 2 fundamentally sound point guards have zero chance of working

Im looking over the PHX roster that year http://www.databasebasketball.com/teams/teamyear.htm?tm=PHO&lg=n&yr=2006 and you can see why they did not have room for Rondo. Sure, if they knew what would become of him lots of team would have developed him.

Im not sure Rondo could work for MDA due to his lack of shooting.

If you looking years down the road its easy to say they should have developed him but looking at that season they did win 61 games and Nash was MVP so Rondo would have sat.

Teams make BoBO moves all the time. Boston trades Joe Johnson? MIlwaukee wanted Tractor Traylor instead of Dirk, etc etc. It happens!

MDA had no say in the Rondo trade. Vescey who killed him for supposedly making the trade retracted his story. It's simply a rumor repeated over and over again by those who don't know, or just like to bring it up to support their point of view.

Google is your friend people.

Really? Im reading it some of the same dudes that wanted melo seem to lack any patience and have to assign a scapegoat to blame.

The way I see it the blame is:

1. Celtics were and are a better team

2. Injury

3. Trade left us depleted in areas.

Those three things will make many a coach look bad.

If the glass is half full, I thought Knicks played hard most of the series. Billups makes that shot and finishes the game unhurt, and Amare's back holds up. Knicks are still playing.
