Fields needs time to develop and I am sure he will work on his game this summer. Remember, the Knicks have actually developed their picks the last few years. TD has improved and still needs more. Chandler improved, Lee improved, Gallo Improved. The trend is positive. Fields could eventually be a great 6th man. At this time, he is not a starting 2, IMO.

There are a ton of FA's out there. NY needs to get a solid defensive 2 who can hit the 3. Then they need a defensive shot blocking C, who can hit a 15 foot jump shot occasionally and slam the ball in the basket every time (not like Jefferies in game 2).

A lot will depend on the new CBA but the most important decision will be to bring DW back. Once that is done, I am confident that he will plug the holes and NY will be a top 3 team next year with Chicago and Miami.

I don't think GM's think the way fans do day to day or game to game. Fields value is projected on what he can become.

If he projects anyone its Reezy but fields is 23.

Did Fields finish as the leading rebounding guard this year?

Dude hit a wall, which all rookies do.

I don't see other GM's not valuing him because he looked like crap after Melo got here.

I just don't see this group trading him for a draft pick.

We're not going that route, just in case anyone missed it.

NEWSFLASH!

Fields is a ROOKIE!
He's not going to be judged by just what he did in the playoffs. He had a terrific rookie season, and that should not be forgotten by other GMs, by Walsh, or by you. Sure, if he'd had a good playoffs, his value would be higher. But he has solid value.

This is why you can't rebuild in NY.

BTW, I think it is good that his value is lowered. I want NY to keep him around.

What Panos said

Keep Landry Fields

Trading him is a waste. He is not a baseball card.

Trading Fields is silly.

It is counterproductive to establishing any team identity or consistent playing personality.

Stop the madness.

If The e Donnie thinks Kanter is a franchise type center then you do the deal.

Don't trade him because his value is low. DON't trade him because he didn't play well down the stretch.

Trade him to improve the roster.

Amare was MVP when Turiaf-Moz were at their peak and healthy.

Im not a pro scout so I can't see what they see.

Donnie will do the right thing.

I disagree with this. I think Amar'e was MVP when Felton was at his peak. Amar'e needs a PG who can penetrate and get him space to operate inside.
