Carrion feeders come after carrion. Which is what mda basketball + the knicks seem to produce.

Yeah, the last I checked, carrion feeding doesn't win championships either. But people will do what they are able to do. Bon Apetit, my dear eater of the dead (death eater?)

When you have Amare and Melo, you MUST win a single game, period.

Amare's back was hurting, Billups was out, Fields was a disaster, so I can't blame him for the sweep in itself. I do blame him for what he did with what was available, which was very little.

The injury excuse is just so old.

When we look back at this series, I'll always remember that we got beat because we lost to a better team that puts a premium on defense as opposed to our guys being hurt.

I agree...MDA not to blame...Just the substitution patterns, zero recognition for what's working...It's like he is a robot...

If you absolve coach how do you properly assess their $20mil value. I don't think fans quite get this. They rather twist themselves into a pretzel. Like who is making who's job easier?

After Billups and Stat went down, the execution was still inexcuseable, and they didn't play with the same intensity for games 3 and 4 like they did in games 1 and 2.

Its the responsibility of a head coach to instill hard nosed intensity throughout a playoff series, not just 2 games.

Show me the last time a head coach did his job then. What head coach instilled hard nosed intensity into a bunch a scrubs on team with 2 regular starters of whom, 1 had hit his rookie wall? All you do is sit here and spin this ****, being able to point fingers doesn't solve anything.

If Frank Vogel can get his Indiana team to win 1 game with 1 fringe all star (Granger) and 4 role players against the best team in basketball, then why can't D'antoni get his team to win 1 game with 1 perennial all star (Melo) and 4 role players?

Nice job of removing all the relevant parts of my post. As usual you had no comeback.

How is it a coach like Doc can add Lawarence Frank to help him defensively after losing a good defensive coach and MDA laughs when you suggest a defensive assistant?

Bulls are not the best team in basketball! They had the best regular season record but that doesn't make them the absolute best in BB.

There's no way MDA gets fired due to this sweep. If we step back and remember that this team wasn't deep after the trade we couldn't afford to have 2 of our big 3 hobbled. How good would the C's look if they lost Rondo and KG? This bashing is a bit over the top. When we went toe to toe in game 1&2 the team was playing tough BB even tho we had key injuries in both games!!! Why do we have to pretend this was a fair fight?

My post wasn't intended to prove that Chicago is the best team in basketball. It was to prove that Vogel got his 8 seed to beat a 1 seed with a less talented roster than ours.

The problem with D'Antoni is that Walsh seeks his input in roster decisions. And D'Antoni doesn't like traditional roles for the players. This is why Walsh or whoever is our GM has to think about how committed the franchise is to this coach. If we are very committed we need to go after a guy like Nash or another very good PG. If our GM feels that Dantoni isn't the long term answer and keeps him for next year, we still need a PG but maybe our priority needs to be a Center and some help with depth.

Personally, I would rather we go in a different direction. Mike doesn't make adjustments. He doesn't coach Defense. He doesn't draw up situational plays. He trusts his players to a fault. If offense isn't working we have no chance.

I thought this before the trade and I think it now. His style only works if the roster is perfect. And even when it was in Phoenix they couldn't get past the WCF. I dont want to waste another year of this nucleus' prime. But unfortunately unless Phil Jackson shows interest I don't know who else is the answer. Maybe Lawrence Frank? Marc Jackson? Rick Adleman? Patrick Ewing?

If we played Chicago we may have won a game against them as well. I'm sure Boston would be as good as they are without Rondo and KG playing at half strength.

I think he gets one more year. If they upgrade a little at any position and he doesn't win at least 50 regular season and one round in the playoffs, Sayonara Mike!
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

We started the year with a traditional lineup. While Mike isn't stuck on traditional roles it's not the same as saying he doesn't like to use them. Donnie just needs to finish the job he started. Like we've all been saying PG, C & SG. Don't know how he's gonna do it but that's what we need.
