My bad.

Landry Fields has better stats than alot of NBA SG's. He has better percentages and rebounds than Kobe Bryant. So what.

Reality is Landry Fields has weak handle and has difficulty creating his own shot. Im still waiting for Wilson Chandler to develop that SG handle.

Center or point guard only.

I'm pretty sure we can all agree that's what we need

No, other than the 3 and 4, we need upgrades everywhere else, including the 2. Not saying JR is the answer, but we def need a more reliable 2.

No, no... a thousand times no.

As Uptown recognizes, JR is exactly NOT what the Knicks need. Talented... but volatile and a problem off the court. Not worth the drama.

Donnie Walsh will explore finding another Mozgov via an unorthodox route. With only one draft selection the Knicks must use that selection wisely.

Go big.

We don't need another person to create their own. That's why we have stat and Melo. We need someone who can spot up for the open j and finishes reliably on the rim when he has a chance, rebounds and plays all out. Oh wait we have Fields.

Don't forget balance and chemistry.

Fields next to felton was a great mix. Lando next to billups is not as.

Fans see results but Coaches have to project what could be and be accountable for results.

Fields is a slasher and good open shooter. He'll get better. JR at 25 is who he is. I think a great off the bench player and if he gets a brain a Jason Terry type.

We need Lando's rebounding and intangibles.

The rest I'll let Walsh or whomever figure it out. What do we know.

So Amare and Carmelo will never miss games for the next 4 yrs of their contract? We need a 3rd guy who can put the ball on the floor and score. If we had Chris Paul or Deron Williams we could get by without a prototypical SG. Thing is we arent getting either and PG's who can facilitate AND score come a premium.

If we had a 3rd scorer we might have squeezed out a win in game 2.

You don't try to acquire pieces by considering what you'll need if your star player(s) get hurt. You add pieces by considering what type of help your star(s) need when someone else may need to step up.

Take James Harden for example. He is the PERFECT piece for the KD/Westbrook tandem, and he's more of a spot up shooter than creator.

No way, no how to JR Smith. Dude may be able to shoot, but he's got a BA in Knucklehead. He would bring bad mojo to this team. Just say "no" to chemistry wreckers. ut yes, we need some solid shooters to space the floor. "Brick" Mason Jr. ain't any sort of answer.

So the ninety percent or so times that we have both our stars healthy what does jr do? Spot shoot worse than fields? Improve team chemistry with his great on and off court demeanor? If we got him instead of a big or point we'd truly be in that's so crazy it might just work territory.

You arent getting James Harden who was the 5th pick in the draft.

JR Smith can hit spot up shots and create. The guy is versatile. Heh I'd love to get a young Ray Allen but that isnt happening.

Please show me the great C, SG, and PG prospects that we can get with the MLE.

We probably would have to sign & trade for JR Smith because he is worth at least 7 million per in the open market.
