Not even close, the Celtics bench make ours look like D-leaguers. The bench will be the difference in the series, unfortunately for us. I would be delighted to see a spirited series out of NY, but in the end I think it's probably going to be Celtics in 5 or 6. Hopefully, they prove me wrong. We have not seen our current roster react to playoff intensity and they may well surprise us by raising their respective games to compete. Let's hope so.

I can't believe all this hype about Shaq. To me, even if Shaq was healthy, there Boston would need to remove him from the floor because there would be no way that he could match up with any one on the defensive end. They need shaq for the Magic and Lakers, any other team they play will be too quick for him to be of any use.

Pierce proved his mettle when he won a title. I can't say anything negative about him as a player. The only thing i'll say is that his time is about to be over. Melo is going to outplay him and replace him in the East as that guy that sinks the dagger at the end of games. I think Pierce and Melo have a lot in common and I think it's Melo time now. He's at his peak and I don't think Pierce can outplay him 4 out of 7 games.

Shaq and Jermaine don't scare anyone anymore. Yes we don't have size to match them, but they also can't run with us. We have just as much of an advantage in that regard as they do. This isn't a one sided deal. They have to guard us too. We're a top offensive team and they're a top defensive team. Things will somewhat balance out and it will be up to our team to impose it's will.

Knicks in 6!!!

While I think Melo has an edge on Peirce let's not shortchange what Peirce is capable of. He's the same guy who clearly outplayed Kobe a couple yrs ago in the Finals and it was more than apparent Kobe was the best player in the NBA(still is)

Pierce in his prime was a freaking animal and incredibly clutch are you forgetting some of his performances in the playoffs in particular against The Pacers/Nets?

Shaq doesn't concern me(other than fouling him with the wrong guys) neither does Kristic

I fear Ray Allen/Rondo more than anything...Jeff Green could be a wild card as he is a mismatch problem everything else is pretty much a wash.

We have to figure these two players out....it's imperative
