Dolan's Knicks have been an embarrassment for a decade. Until they win in the playoffs, the comments aren't "crap." You have to start somewhere, but winning one series is a pretty low bar.

Gallo won't be a breakout star. Even if he has it in him to go toe to toe with Melo/LeBron, etc., he still has a European mindset. He needs to demand the ball if he ever wants to be a star in this league, and that ain't happening this year on a very deep Nuggets team. What the Nuggets have going is their versatility and chemistry, and Gallo isn't going to disrupt that just so he can get his own.

You are pinning an entire decade of losing on a player who has been here a few months so it is crap. I said win a meaningful series, like getting to the ECF to shut up the critics for a while, not erase a decade of losing. I doubt anyone here thinks that would be enough.

only one thing to do and is prove them wrong.

Get swept its ugly.

Go 5 and its still ugly.

Go 6 and you got respect.

Go 7 and lose you got progress and respect.

win the series and you change it.

exactly nalod. i think thats the perfect chart.

a series win is unlikely but not out of the question. they turned it on last year come playoff time but i think the knicks have the best player in this series (melo) if he plays up to it.

you win the series and you earn the respect from everyone -- the haters on ESPN, the haters on TNT, peter vescey, et al.

The only way to change espns stance on the Knicks is if we beat the Celts. Then they will have to eat their words. Espn will still have haters, they always seem to bash on NY sport teams. What made me laugh a few at espn made it sound like Pierce is better then melo hahaha. Espn writers always seem to be laughable at times, that's just terrible journalism. Do these writers at espn even watch basketball? I can't wait to see Melo lock down Pierce on defense and dominate him on the offense.Pierce is good but no where near the player Melo is.Anyone who has watched the Knicks knows Melo is stepping up his D as of late.I can only think he is going to step up the defense another notch for the playoffs..

On one player? I know you couldn't have gotten that from the sentence I actually typed. I'd pin it on Dolan and Cablevision, not one or any player.

They should have awarded Barkeley two points for the take down

If I remember correctly during his playing days Charles was dying to play here. He is just a bitter, rotund, funny man.

Wow, I've never heard anyone at ESPN or any national media talk about Chandler or Gallo in remotely those terms before. Gallo is impossible to stop? Chandler the most underrated defender in the league? I loved and overrated both players when they were on my team, but nothing like this. At this point, I'm really wondering if they say things like this on purpose to rile up New Yorkers...

I comment on a thread about Melo "Hate" and you bring up "a decade of losing". So yes, it sounded like you were trying to attach Melo to the past.

ESPN is located in Bristol, CT - which is Red Sox country. You do the math.

It seems that Gallo's and Will's improvement was as simple as switching their jerseys.

In the playoffs I do think we have a shot gainst the Celtics (about 1 in 3). As a fan I hope we sweep the crap out of the retarded mofos, but that's just the fan part of me. I think this Melo love (among knick fans) will end abruptly with the playoff exit and those that hated the trade will be telling us how right they were throughout the offseason. And those that favored it will argue w/o the trade we may not even have made he playoffs. None of this makes a lot of sense, but it's what we do.

yeah as much as i want the knicks to go far in the playoffs, i'm realistic. but haters of the trade are chomping at the bit that we go down in the first rd.
