+1
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Short of a championship, nothing would make me happier than sending the divas home early.

Miami, without hesitation.

Boston has size, experience, defense, and 2 clutch shot makers (Pierce and Allen) for crunchtime.

Playing the Heat would not only be easier for New York, but more entertaining for the league and its fans.

Miami would be an awesome series but I htink they'd beat us in 6. If Boston is actaully the team they've been playing like the last month I'd want them. They'll get back to being great in the playoffs though. Very hard to pick. Top 4 in the East are just as good as the top 4 in the West.

Miami

5. Billups is battle tested and will wear out Bibby

4. Carmelo vs Lebron will be fun to watch

3. More Knicks fans in South Beach.

2. The Garden will be rocking

Definitely Miami..

Billups> Bibby

Stat > Bosh

Wade>Fields

Lebron> Melo (but Melo still holds his own)

We've beaten Miami twice.

and most of all, I like us in this series due to karma purposes.

We have had like 10+ games this season decided by crappy refs. Therefore, I like our chances against Miami better. You just know that nothing would be called against the Celts.

i think we match better with miami or chicago. boston, though it would be a great series, are better suited beating us even without shaq.

The match game

The seventh-place Knicks will face either the No. 2 Heat, No. 3 Celtics or No. 1 Bulls in the first round of the Eastern playoffs. Here’s a look at each of those potential matchups:

KNICKS VS. HEAT

(season series 2-2)

Would be best matchup of the three for Knicks. Carmelo Anthony has always excelled against LeBron James, dating to their high-school battles. Chauncey Billups can own either PG Mike Bibby or Mario Chalmers, and Heat may not be able to exploit Knicks’ size issues. Chris Bosh has never stepped up his game in the playoffs. Downside is, Heat are jelling again, winning eight of nine.

KNICKS VS. CELTICS

(Celts lead season series 3-0)

Not many reasons Knicks would want this. If Shaquille O’Neal, who reinjured his calf, is iffy for playoffs, it would reduce Boston’s major size edge. Plus, Boston is 6-7 in its last 13 games, perhaps missing traded Kendrick Perkins. But Kevin Garnett, who loves to beat the Knicks, is healthy, and Paul Pierce and speed demon PG Rajon Rondo are lethal matchups. Best to avoid.

KNICKS VS. BULLS

(Knicks lead season series 2-0)

Knicks’ 2-0 mark against Chicago is deceiving, since they haven’t faced Bulls when both Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah have suited up. Tom Thibodeau will be in his first playoff series as head coach. Chicago’s edge at point guard, with MVP favorite Derrick Rose, may be too much to overcome, especially surrounded by two excellent bigs in Boozer/Noah and a 3-point specialist in Kyle Korver.

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Felton did a nice job leveling off Rose. Toney was getting killed playing him too tight. I dont wanna think about what he will do to Billups. But they are beatable. I think Miami is going to step up their game in the playoffs. Although I would love to be the ones who knock them out. It's not impossible. I think we'd be lucky to take boston to 6 games. I wouldn't be shocked if they swept us though. Carmelo could probably catch fire and win us a game but thats about it.

Miami.

LeBron cannot guard Melo and who wouldn't enjoy the possibility (even if it is slim) of a the upset that would only further destroy the legacy of LeBron.

Wade scares me and thats about it.

"Chances are, the Knicks will lose in Round 1 to the Miami Heat or Boston Celtics. But as a high Eastern Conference seed, you would surely prefer to take your chances with Indiana or Philly."

"Without question," agreed Carlesimo, "people aren't looking forward to playing the Knicks in the playoffs."
