The real question is, would you trade Melo AND Amare for Howard?

cause Orlando aint LA

The Lakers are old. Kobe, Fisher, Odom, Artest, etc. He's going toleave the talent he has in Orlando to play with Gasol? I think he's smarter than that but wouldn't mind seeing him out of the Eastern Conference.

What talent does he have in Orlando?

I'm not saying he won't stay - weather & lack of state income tax are two reasons he probably would.

Nelson is about an average starting PG. You could list 10 to 16 starting PGs who are better. Those other guys are all way below average starters in the NBA. Howard basically has one average starter and a bunch of below average players. He carries that team as much as any one player carries his team in the league. And he carries is very well for a one-man team.

Nelson is one of the most underrated PG's in the league. It's not about numbers with this kid. He play's in a half court offense and is the 4th if not the 5th scoring option on the floor. If he played in an up tempo offense his numbers would be through the roof. Richardson is close to the top 10 in SG's. Bass and Hedo are both solid.

It could be argued that Howard is overrated. Center is the weakest position in the league right now. Howard is the clear number 1. Number 2 is probably Brook Lopez which says alot about the position. When SHAQ was in his prime he was going against guys like Ewing, Robinson, Hakeem, Alonzo, etc. Who the heck is Howard banging against?

If we did that Howard would fight the trade and would never resign because the Knicks would be rebuilding and Howard would rather play with Carmelo and Amare. I don't know if he loves cold weather.

Because Howard is a monster on both ends of the court. If both of the rosters are the same next year, I'll predict that he carries his team to a better record than Melo and Amare together carry the Knicks to.

Richardson played well in Phoenix but has been shockingly awful in Orlando. 14 Pts, 4 Rbs on .437 shooting doesn't make you a top 10 player at your position. It makes you a bottom 10 starting SG. It's not like he plays awesome defense either. Nelson's never really impressed me. Saying that he would be a lot better in another system isn't really an argument; it's just conjecture.

Sure Richardson has stuggled in Orlando but I think he'd be a perfect fit with the Knicks. The guy averages a steal a game, can run the floor and create his own shot and get a handful of boards each game. I take him based on his career not 3 months in Orlando. He'd be too expensive anyway but a guy can dream.
