I'd rather do nothing than make this move, although this would obviously make us better and give us another option at the 1 as well. He fits the need for 7 feet,and he can score, but we need rebounds and defense. We CANNOT add another player that is not a good defender.

Bargnani would be interesting to watch. As a third scoring option he would get some pretty open looks.

Don't think we would fare well in the playoffs and match up with talented defensive bigs, but it would be an interesting experiment. Building around your strengths instead of covering up your weaknesses.

We should look at this move if we can't sign who we want. Bargs has more value then Billups down the road in a trade and since our coach isn't a traditional coach, he would basically be the 2 guard on offense.

Out side the box, you would be able to play a bigger 2 guard to help with the boards on defense and allow Bargs to be the 2 on offense. A guy like Al Thornton or Wilson Chandier could play the two. Maybe even play a small power like Powell or Bass if Melo is able to guard the other teams 2 guard.

Again depends on the price, Billups contract and this years 1st, a 2nd would be the most..........

Andrei Kirilenko......... that's a guy who could really help out this team starting at the two guard.

Looks the guy still has the 5 tools, would be a pretty good vet pickup.

I want Jason Richardson at the 2. He would need to take a nice pay cut but I think he'd be perfect on the Knicks. The guy shoots the lights out, good at going to the hoop, shoots well from the line, knocks down the 3 and plays solid defense.

Jason Richardson is solid but I dont see Orlando letting Richardson walk for cheap. Orlando can still outbid us because they have his bird rights.

I can see the Magic not signing Jason Richardson back. They have a lot of players signed and they are looking for another superstar to pair with Dwight.

No bird rights for J Rich. He just got to Orlando this year. He'd have to be with Orlando for another year just to get early bird rights. I think he'd be a perfect fit but he's probably going to price out.
