Get Real

Dwight Howard is not arriving at LaGuardia anytime soon. Nor is Gasol. Big men are the most difficult to find and sign. It ain't that easy.

Chris Paul, Nash and Deron Williams are all very busy. Those guys are not thinking about New York. Haven't you had enough chasing after shiny objects?

Chris Paul has injury issues, attitude issues and has never won anything. Another max contract? No thank you. The soon-to-be very expensive Deron Williams is in New Jersey. Mikhail Prokhorov is not letting him walk away. Steve Nash's defense makes Chauncey Billups look like Gary Payton. Besides, Nash is like, 47 years old.

Getting mad at poor play during a game doesn't equate to the end is here.

CashMoney - who, other than Glenn Beck, said "the end is here"?

How long do you tolerate ragged play, especially in the fourth quarter, before another drastic change must be considered?

As you suggest giving this collection of tourists a year, then perhaps angry game thread comments are just steam vents to micro-identify the inevitable flaws or celebrate a good play.

Better than a volcano, yes?

Comments such as it will take 4 years to recover seems pretty bad to me. Who doesn't vent during sports. I'm a die hard Yankees fan but talk smack during games.

This year is a wash. Don't talk to me about playoffs. Playoffs?

2011-12 the Knicks add one quality rotation player, a starter if they are lucky. Donnie Walsh is the X factor here. I think he is outta here in May.

2012-13 the Garden renovation is completed and ticket prices go through the roof, even in the upper reaches above where the former blue seats were. General Manager Allan Houston signs a quality free agent if the levee don't break and the creek don't rise.

They better be good or the natives will not be happy.

Take it or leave it.

From watching this team, we obviously need a strong rebounding/defensive big. If I were Walsh I would also try to add a solid scoring sixth man to back up Fields. Oddly enough, this team needs another scorer..I don't like T. Douglas as my 3rd or 4th scoring option. Maybe as my 5th or 6th.

You add a Tyson Chandler and Al Harrington to this team, we'd be pretty hard to beat. Not saying I want them, but just think we don't necessarily need a third superstar...just some pieces that we can find on the cheap.

Gloom is understandable at time but the doom is nothing more than a lack of patience.

I've been watching the Knicks since the 80's. We all knew that the last 2 seasons were throw aways to clear cap space to make a run at Lebron. We didn't get him but wind up with Amar'e and now we have Melo. The Knicks have been terrible for the last 9 years. They showed flashes this year but I think people are forgetting that we weren't winning anything this year and when a team is playing as bad as they are right now a 28-26 team that was dismantled seems much better than it actually was.

We are still going to the playoffs and we now have 2 players to build this team around. We also have TD, Shawn Williams and Fields. We still need pieces and that's no different than the team we just blew up. Denver doing as well as they have makes things seem worse than they are. The Knicks will add players this summer and we will take another step forward.

For the right price...as a sixth man, he could be a solid contributor. Just think we need another scoring threat. It would play to this teams strength.
