clearly not happy with his reserve role... he wants to be starting games... i wonder are any of you gonna call him a team cancer for it?

TMZ, no you never said he was a "cancer". But "wonder" it? The words that came out of his mouth and their record seems to imply he won't be. You wonder and asked a question. I answered it.

Really TMZ, you think your question was so pure without implication and editorial slant?

What was the intent of your post? Take the line "I wonder are any of you gonna call him a team cancer for it?" and say it as Dana Carvy's church lady would say it.

"I wonder are any of you gonna call him a team cancer for it?"

TMZ: "Isn't that special!"

Would take him back in a heartbeat. Send Billups back for Felton and Mozgov.

Before Billups Thigh Contusion and the wake of trade prevailing opinion was that Billups was better and Felton was supposedly the problem for our down slide. Why are you even asking if he'd consider coming back?

I watch every game but I might have missed it...How was Felton the Knicks' problem?

Felton had a bad stretch of poor play for a while before the trade happened. That's the only thing that I remember. Felton was OK at the point. He was certainly better than CB has been. I thought CB would be good for this team with his experience and savvy.

Poor play? Define poor play please..They job of a point guard as you may be coming to realize is to make people around him better..He excelled as getting Amare the ball where he was most effective not to mention our other players..Guys please stop looking at how many point a PG scores to determine how he plays...Ghats how this entire board was duped by Billups the first few games..

Not sure you were watching the games then. He definitely had a stretch of bad play where he couldn't run the pick and roll, was making poor decisions and taking billups like shots. Had nothing to do with how many points he scored.

I agree he was really struggling in january...but he's still a better fit then billups just cuase he's a pass first pg and about 5 steps quicker

I kinda saw this is a begins of TMS witch hunting the Nuggets. The Nuggets have plenty of flexibility maintaining or improving their team going forward. They're going to be good for a while. It just depends how good.

Felton is a starting quality PG and it's easy to understand why he's unhappy with having lost that spot. I'm guessing he was hoping to be a part of the Knicks beyond that two year contract feeding Amare and Melo for the next 5+ years. I would take him back and find a pair of centers (starter and backup, only because Turiaf has durability issues).

That said, I don't see it, but i wouldn't be surprised if Chandler or Gall make their way back to NY in the next couple f years. I still wish the Knicks could have managed a trade that brought Melo and Nene while keeping Felton...now that would have been a crazy good team RIGHT NOW!

in what way do u see me as witch hunting the Nuggets... not even sure what that means btw.

just pointing out Felton isn't happy w/his role & asking if anyone thinks he's a cancer because of it i have a feeling if Melo were coming out w/those kinds of comments people would be all over him for it, tell me i'm wrong... if we could get Felton back here i'd be all for it, i liked him as a Knick i defended him throughout his struggles SupremeCommander & i both we were pretty vocal about people getting on his case for his struggles leading up to the trade deadline.

as for the Nuggets being good for a while, that all depends on who they keep as i pointed out half their team are potential FA's this summer.

Its funny how Juice never points a finger at the usual suspects on this board who picks a part a quote from Melo and overanalyze his body language on the court as a way to disparage him and call him everything from 'Chucker', 'Diva', and now a team 'Cancer', yet he calls you out as a being on a witchhunt just for posing a valid question. Pretty clear which side of the fence he stands on.

TMZ, I thought it was uncool in your book to watch and root for our former players on other teams?

Didn't AR have to be included in the Melo deal?

what u & fishmike got some kinda pact going to see who can try & piss me off the most with your idiotic references to my screenname? what are you 12? funny thing is u probably look like some overweight slob of a human being that gets their kicks off making up cute little nicknames for posters u don't like on a fan forum, i've never seen u make it out to any gatherings or UK hoops games, don't start busting my chops unless u know me & keep my name out of your little world little man, you don't impress me.

I read the above quote a few times and it speaks volumes all by itself.

we meet up for a UK meeting I'll buy you a beer and we'll be fine. some friendly banter between fans is ok. I think you take some of this a bit personal at times. These are just opinions about players on a team. We don't know each other, its just knicks. Nobody gets personal.

I live out of state. I've been up once before to catch a game a few years ago and had to cancel my trip in 09'for personal reasons. Wife, house, children, business practice are all priorities that make the one or two UK gatherings per year very hard to commit to.

You seem to dish it out so you engage in banter. And its all related to Knicks, not anything personal.

what are you 12? funny thing is u probably look like some overweight slob of a human being that gets their kicks off making up cute little nicknames for posters u don't like on a fan forum,

Am I 12? Seriously?

Simply way too many Melo/Trade threads to address

I don't think Melo deserves criticism for our struggles now. However he definitely deserves criticism for everything leading up to the trade and objectively analyzing his career in general.

We need a new coach first and foremost, then fill in the major holes on this team, then look at Melo the player/teammate if need be.

As fas as Felton is concerned like I said many who were on the side of the trade was stamping down Felton to Big Up Billups. I don't think Felton has any serious issues at the moment as his comments suggested everything is predicated off of winning and it making sense for everyone. He's making sure his place on the team is of import and judging by how Karl uses him and the Carolina ties they're going to take care of him.

The Players always come before the coach. If you have Kobe, Gasol, Odom, Artest & Bynum you could be sure to have a team capable of competing year in and year out no matter who your coach is. The truth is that the coach always comes second to the talent you have on your roster. You give me Bird, Parrish and McHale or KG, Pierce, Allen and Rondo and you're gonna win a ton of games no matter who your coach is. Now whether you win a title is another debate, but you start with top talent and then you look at a coach who you believe can get you to the promised land.

I know that Doc was being jeered by the fans calling for him to be tossed out before the trade and title. So clearly he gained a ton from the upgrade in talent.

I could easily see Will coming back,or wanting to anyway. He's a shy dude and was comfortable here with this team, in this system. But do we want him back even at a slight discount? Not a ton of cap left after Melo/Amare.
