read blobman's response again ("I wonder where and how you would be living if it were not for the 'Euro Factor'.") and consider his body of work. It's subtle, yet disgusting. The child should be sent to the pricipal's office

Vlade is such a cool movaphucka

i was at the garden for the draft when vlade was selected. i don't know if anyone had seen a euro player at the draft before then. he had on the rattiest most god-awful suit - i think it was brown corduroy. some half-knotted tie. few days stubble. mofo was smoking. f'g smoking! people were hooting at him big-time! quite a moment in time captured.

sometimes the internet is pretty awesome. Great call

There was a great documentary on Vlade and Drazen Petrovics relationship.
Great to watch and very emotional!

trust me on the rakia... its Balkan spirits made from plums, apricots, mulberry, or some random fruit, sometimes with herbs added. I'm sure throwing back his Mother Country's moonshine would make for one hell of a night.

good call on the unfiltered Camels

I am certain I would end up packing Skoal. I think Vlade would enjoy participating in a dirty American tradition

skoal??? cmon dude... redman long cut all the way. You want to look like a squirrell with 40 nuts in your cheek.

I still like a good chaw on a long card ride. Plus the wife and kids are always impressed by the snapple bottle of soupy brown spit

See? between us we will get there.. rakia, gonna have to look into that

as for rakia, plum isn't my favorite, but it will be the easiest to find here. Some call it plum brandy. A good liquor store will probably call it slivovitz

I only attempted both siumtaneously around the 12th hole...

but I can pop out a lipper, swish, shotgun a beer, then load up another lipper with relative ease

Man now seriously wheres that hate for the old world coming from?!

In terms of a basketball playing style derived from a futbol (or soccer as we Americans call it)aesthetic there is "zero" difference between the teams in Europe & those from South America. I think everyone here knew what i was talking about in referencing the "Euro" penchant for flopping to draw fouls but if you need I can provide a lineage of coaches & when & how various countries in both Europe & South America joined international play, so that you can see this connection more clearly.
As far as "hate" for the "old world", I was trying to highlight something critical that we lost in the Melo trade & that is the ability to curry favor with the refs based on both Gallo's ability to flop & their penchant for seeing a little bit of themselves in him. Valuable factors indeed.

ActionJackson - watching the NCAA game between Washington and UNC I got the impression the Carolina dudes got WAY more favoarble treatment from the refs, and I am not one to generally blame officiating.

Was it the purple uniforms and dark skin tones that provided a background for fouls on the lighter tones of Carolina blue and lighter skin tones?

Why do hockey players use black trainers tape to camouflage the puck?

You know what actually I would greatly appreaciate you doing this...
I mean yeah flopping and sissy play in soccer is pretty normal (not everywhere though if you would watch Premiere league its a little better). Its part of the game but still there are HUGE differences between soccer in Europe, South America and Asia. And yeah same with basketball... yet its funny that you take an South American player as an example for the "euro" art of flopping...
But please please explain to me how you get everyting together...

So Melo is failing because The Man is keeping him down by not giving him calls, because the refs are racist.

When is a brother going to get a fair shake in the hoops game?
