Keith Benson?

Keith Benson looked ugly against Texas. I think he may be a very good 2nd round choice--I just think his motor isnt there for pick 17. If we use NBA draft net for who might be available for bigs--the only guy that is worthy IMHO is Ja Johnson. He's very athletic long and quite skilled. Id like to see him go through the same regimen Aldridge did to put on 15 hard pounds of muscle. He was very consistent in his career in terms of improving on a tough grind it team in a rough league--he gave you 20-10-2+ every night this year and you like that he really started coming on with big rebounding numbers towards the end. He looks like he is 7 feet tall or close to it(although listen at 6-10) and you like that he shot 81% from the FL--90% in Big ten play he can hio that mid range shot very nicely can use the ribble but also has the post game and runs the floor well. When you see who is left--the Morris guys faried--you have to think Johnson is the most well-rounded of all of thme--the morris dont block shots and they look more like hybrid 3's. faried could be projected as a quality bench pro for now---a good guy to have a very decent pick in the late 1 area but I dont see the overall talent level. In terms of BPA it might go to a guard--it might. We have to think about it as well with the Billups issue(and then again how hard is it for a rookie PG?) I love K Walker but he wont be there. Freddette would play well here with amare and carmelo because he would help spread the floor and they run the MDA system @ BYU..

I think bringing in 7-1 J Jordan and 6-11 Ju Johnson--that would really bolster the frontline--we could use that. I think we can by a later draft pick and use it on a PG like Jenkins hansburough et al there are good players there The bigs are a tad weak. if I got a shot at Johnson--if K walker and freddette were gone--Id take him.
