Sorry if I wasnt clear. He looks old on the defensive end.

On the offensive end he is trying to be that consistent 3rd scorer. We need him to be a consistent facilitator. However, we dont have a consistent third scorer so he will continue to fill that void.

this is part of the reason why I created a thread a while back asking how Chauncey looked during the Worlds this summer. Could be a combo of shot legs and injured thigh.

Chauncey looked great in the Worlds... or... better than this.

It just seems like he has no understanding of how to run the team.

Team looks so much better with Toney running it, it's ridiculous.

... and the strange thing is that they ran a hybrid of MDA's offense at worlds, right?

So maybe it's just injury and lack of practice/continuity time.

Yes, believe me I'm praying this is the case.

i thought he looked very good prior to the injury.

he's a vet and a real accomplished player. it's gotta be a combination of the injury and the fact that this team is playing horribly right now , all the way down the line.

look how well melo and amear both played their first couple of weeks together. look what's happened the last 6 games. something’s seriously amiss.

Maybe thats why he wasn't starting for Denver

I remember not so long ago everyone wanted to run Felton out of town. We also wanted to get rid of Chandler and Moz was butter fingers and got punked on a Dunk.

we have 2 of the top 5 scorers in the NBA. Now the problem is we dont have a 3rd?

i don't think his age has anything to do with it—he's up there with other pgs in the league that can still compete: nash and kidd. HIS DEMEANOR TELLS ME HE JUST DOESN'T CARE. I know he won a ring with the pistons but i didn't appreciate the love-fest after the game with his ex teammates practically hugging everyone in the stadium. IMO, you do that when we win, not when we lose like that.

Billups got charlie horsed so bad by Howard that it made his knee swell up, right after he got traded. I'm surprised some of you are already writing him off. He didn't look old before he got hurt so it isn't a stretch to believe that he is still recovering from that injury. A player with his rep should be given the benefit of the doubt.

Agreed -- I think Billups may even say at the end of the season to the Knicks -- Please don't pick up my option - -I hope he does - -then draft Kemba and sign a Legit Center!

I always thought Felton was better right now, but he seemed more motivated in the first few games after the trade. Now he kind of looks like what he looked like earlier this year. He has his moments but he's not a tonesetter like Felton was for this team. I think he'll be alright, but I do think we took a slight ding at the PG position.

IMO Toney has looked better creating for teammates lately, and he has really come around in terms of his overall PG game.

that would be my dream scenario. lots of good point guards available in the draft. i like brandon knight.

Bring back Anthony Carter please.

I rather see him and Douglas running the point, with CB off the bench as the 3 pt specialist / game changer....

Something is wrong, cuz i've never seen him play this poorly. It just doesn't add up. All the Turnovers and poor shots. He has always been a pretty savvy player, so I think the combination of a lack of chemistry and familiarity with the offense and his teammates along with maybe some issues with his leg, could be the reason. I don't know, but it seems strange to me. He's been so bad lately that it can't just be him getting old that fast. He wasn't looking like this before.
