And to say that Billups is not too much of an upgrade over Felton is not the case in my opinion. His bball IQ alone is an upgrade, not to mention his experience.

We started 3-8 this year. With the new team we are 7-7, and that includes 6 or 7 games without Billups. As long as we start showing more consistent EFFORT we'll be ok and won't have to wait until 2016 for a contender. I know it's hard, but patience is needed. We will be jsut fine.

It's funny how many were willing to be patient with Gallo and Chandler on the team but add Melo and all hope is gone.

CashMoney - not so funny. Consider that Gallo and Chandler are two yoots with their prime years ahead of them. We were watching them grow. Both continue to improve.

Carmelo Anthony, the prodigal All Star, is more set in his habits. The expectations are higher. So is the fall when those expectations are not met. When the results look suspect, as in losing to the Cavs and Pacers, people get suspicious.

A touch of buyers remorse is only human.

I'll have buyers remorse when either Chandler or Gallo can put up 25+ PPG. Melo is only 4 years older than Gallo and 3 years older than Chandler. Bottom line it's been a few weeks and at the end of the day the Knicks weren't winning anything this year. This trade was made for the future not for the present.

it took the Miami Heat about 2 months before they fully hit their stride & that was with a full summer & training camp practicing together getting to learn the system & each other... Knick fans want instant results after 2 weeks & a couple practices.

Thank you.

I want to see improvement andsolid play on defense from this team. I can understand this team wont be clicking on all cylinders after such a trade, but after 15 games and a 7-8 record where they have a 6-2 record against winners and 0-6 record against teams sub.500, all I see is a huge mess not getting any better.

ou have such a terrible record against lowly teams, you see immaturity, lack of effort, lack of focus on the defensive end instead of lack of chemistry. They get up for the winning teams, why not against lowly teams? That is horrible. They are playing horribly and the trade excuse is no longer the main responsible.

I am feeling a little bit of buyer's remorse, but it's WAY to early to judge this trade. We need to finish the season, see how the playoffs go, have another training camp with new draftees, and see if it still feels like a mistake.

Melo is too good to give up on after 15 games. Hopefully, Amare can set him straight and we get on a solid winning trajectory.

Thank you.

Don't look now, but the post-trade record is exactly what the record was for the all-new Knick team at the start of the season (7-8). To keep up with the pre trade Knicks's subsequent record, we'd have to go 12-1 for the rest of the season. How long does our new team need to gell?

The fact is that teams have much more success building through acquire stars than acquiring draft picks. We have 2 stars now, let's see how we build around them before we think about 5 years from now.

You don't belong on this site--you are making too much sense. You are too smart for this forum, please leave. We need more anti- knick/melo haters.

fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

I don't think there are any of those! There are haters (including me) of what the Dolan and Cablevision have done though.
