The only thing I key on when it comes to Melo is that he's won a NCAA championship and for the most part his play as a crunchtime performer is among the best. Here with this team he's got some guys that bring it as well in STAT and Billups. I don't see those guys shrinking under the spotlight of the playoffs. Those are the kind of players i've always wanted on this team. I mean we have 2 other All Stars and Melo still rises above and isn't afraid of the situation. He WANTS to take the big shot.
I'm hoping Melo stays just as hot in the playoffs, cuz he's been super confident lately. When he hits one of his super deep 3's, which seem crazy at the time, he lifts the whole team. When he gets intense on D, everyone starts digging in. So Melo is starting to take on a clear leadership role along with STAT and CB. I like him better as a player now than I did before we got him. I was hoping that he wouldn't disappoint and he's been pretty impressive so far.
