That is funny since they are doing it with former Knicks. Who knew they could play Defense? Knicks did get the best player in the trade but that's not the totality of the picture, is it? I mean, we understand this, right? They gave up 3 solid rotation players and 1 who was our only big man. We got 2 back and 1 of them has been hurt. Denver gets back a balanced team. They had a starting PF, C and Ty Lawson was a heavy part of their rotation so they don't miss too much of a beat, even with Gallo hurt. Knicks are not a balanced team by any stretch, and I don't think it's too obtuse to suggest that it's harder to integrate a guy like Melo into what is left with the Knicks then it is to slide Gallo/Chandler into Melo's slot while starting Lawson and having Felton off the bench. It's not so much that we HAVE to wait, but that is WILL take some time for this trade to come to better fruition as has done in the short term for Denver. Not all trades are equal, and with this one in particular, nor should the immediate expectations. Official sponsor of the PURE KNICKS LOVE Program

![]() What Melo does is 90% one-on-one play. His #s as a Knick are about the same as they were on the Nuggets. I don't see why we need to wait another 5, 10 or 15 or whatever games.

But the makeup of his teammates and system is dramatically different. Melo played differently during Olympics, he can do the same here and that will be key to long term success.
