MS wrote:You can't rebuild in New York is such bull****! GM's that make ****ty trades and then blame the whole thing on the fans. I think everyone was really enjoying watching this team grow. Without trade rumors I think we would have played much better.

Raising tickets is a ****ing joke! TO be fair! Are we supposed to be happy they have allowed the tickets to remain #2 in the entire league while missing the playoffs 9/10 seasons. The Lakers have made the finals 50% of the time in the leagues history.

Again. The Knicks are not a storied franchise in fact they are one of the worst organizations in Sports. This is the mecca because of other events. The Knicks have nothing to do with it. What kind of organization that is battling for the 6th barely playing above .500 raises prices.

The should send out the press release that essentially tells all the loyal fans to go f themselves. It's better than talking about the experience and the quailty of restaurant. Always nice to get the letter over the years that says why this year is different we have added a top flight center, great coaching, exciting new draft picks. Amazing

The Knicks are storied because it feels like every other display in Springfield shows someone achieving basketball greatness with the Knicks at the other end! Go there with a Celtics fan like I did if you especially want to torture yourself. They have a fake newscast you can do and even in that you have to read about someone beating the Knicks in the prompter. I did bow in front of the Knicks display they have up there though. We are a part of a lot of stories in basketball, just not as the protagonist!

And you are right, the mecca tag comes from boxing and college basketball like the NIT and the Big East tourney.

I see that Chase logo on the floor and I know what its all about for the Dolans. But what are you going to do? This is a great city if you are rich. The only NBA games I end up going to these days are Nets preseason anyway, and that was before this price hike and post-Melo Stubhub inflation. I'm even willing to pay more than I probably should to sit in the nosebleeds just for the crowd vibe but none of my buddies are. So, it's either a bar, a buddy's place, or alone with the radio and the laptop. C'est la vie.

Is this price hike for the cheap seats as well? How bad?

The price hike is for season tickets, which I never was in the market for anyway. Not sure if it's just for the lower bowl right now? But any price hike gets passed on to you, Joe Averagefan trying to get a couple seats on Stubhub a/k/a sanctioned scalping. I was looking at going to that Bucks game around the trade deadline, you should have seen the jump in price. $60 seats went to $300 when all the starphuckers jumped back on board.

Yeah, that does suck. I was hoping to catch some games now and then with my move back to NY in a few months. Now maybe not as many games as I had wanted to see. I'm hoping those cheapo ticket packages that the Knicks were advertising for years now will be still around in some form. Not holding my breath.

May I suggest heading out to the Nassau Mausoleum? Maybe not surprisingly, you can get some really good seats cheap there.
