I don't think anyone can question Kemba's talents most certainly at the collegiate level. It's not like he isn't an obvious standout. I'm sure he's high in everyone's circle as a top prospect. Kemba's problem will be running an NBA style offense/penetration/finishing against NBA length.... but he's not anymore proven as a little guard than Fredette when discussing skillset and need at the NBA level.

He's just as guilty of being a high volume rep chucking talent and no way does he step in right away taking over a team. He's not pure enough as a point to satisfy our main needs.

He reminds me a lot of Jason Williams at Duke

You guys do know Chris Bosh wasn't Big Body when he came into the league and still isn't Big Body right?

You guys do know David Lee wasn't Big Body when he came into the league and he's about average power forward body at the moment right?

You guys do know Serge Ibaka wasn't Big Body when he came into the league manning time at center and has just started to come into his body right?

You guys do know before we traded for him and some of you even after trading him lament over the fact we let Skinny Randolph go who wasn't and still isn't Big Body right?

Last night they were referring to the Benson as sure fire LOTTERY talent. Of course if he is we're probably out of contention to get him but if he's on the board and we pass we're stupid. His presence on the floor is what allows his teammates to get off. I noticed a lot of little things he was doing to help his teammates get off. College is a different game too when considering fouls looked like he was trying to protect himself from building up quick fouls.

He's got talent and athletic size--wouldnt be a bad draft pick at all--but you will be waiting on him a bit. I think the Knicks would have to weigh that in. There is no doubt about it he will be bodied and because hes kind of a tweener 4-5 will have some work to do to find what hi niche is in the NBA(and there are motor concerns. I think the Knicks have to weigh in is a kid ready to go now at this point--although Im never opposed to taking BPA if thast what they feel. Hes going round 1 and we could do worse than bringing in 6-11 and 7-1(Jordan) even if we have to wait on them a bit.
I like Kemba Walker if he could truly fall to 17 or whatever(although I dont think he will) Kemba will automatically be in a 9 man rotation and bring tremendous speed defense and the ability to push the ball as fast as anyone in the NBA. He probably has the best body control in the draft--Ive seen all of the Uconn guys practice/play over the years and seeing Kemba up close--hes the fastest guy I have ever seen dribbling. I think hes only around 5-11 but well put together. His jumpshot has gone from D 2 B- in 3 years--you like to see that improvement and his mid range game is right up there--good vision tough re bounder mean in your face defender all in a ready to go package. I think well do well whether we make a pick trade back or trade out--I trust DW.

wouldn't be surprised to see us use the pick in a sign and trade for an established player...though it would hurt our 2012 cap space..it would also help us to build a deeper team instead of going for another max guy...

Jason Williams? he was a 3 pt specialist with a strong body who wasnt particularly quick and no where near as fast as Kemba. I don't think he will be available but in some publications he is going in the 20 range--if it was me--if he was sitting there--Id pick him.

RIP Crushalot😞
