I didn't post this. But the Subject is obviously an attempt to talk about the positives of Carmelo. There are other threads that focus on the negatives.

Pts + rbs + assists? Why on earth would you add those numbers? Because PPG are much higher than RPG and APG, all that stat really does is tell you who scores a lot of points (and regardless of the number of shots they take).

Taking a retired number, or even thinking about it, is a spit in the face of the game of basketball, it's disrespect to all those who came before him, who played for peanuts before ballers made amounts of cash money most can only dream of.

It's an insult to the game. But I'm not surprised. It's just a damn shame.
