Knick fans here have read hours of Pro MDA, and Negative MDA articles.

Simple question. Say your in charge of MDA's destiny and the media asks if you give him a vote of confidence.

Are you pro MDA or anti MDA?

simple question but with a small request. If you vote "No" you have to provide a suitable candidate to take his place. Not a current coach under contract.

Pro: MDA has had 3 roster remakes in 3 years and is a good coach
Negative: MDA is not a good coach and we should look for a replacement.

I am pro-MDA.
He is no-nonsense guy.
Not a snake.
Stubborn, ignorant, and ambitious.
This kind of people can make things happen...

Toms a good coach. Do you think a rookie head coach could have handled and been effective with Marbury? Zack? Crawford? We turned the team over 3 times now.

Thibs has taken a playoff team over. It was a hell of a gig for him to get but a good young coach taking over a playoff team and adding Boozer with a star in the maker Drose is a good situation.

Don't forget, MDA rejected Bulls (dumb) because he wanted to be in NY. I thought we like guys that want to be in NY?

We got rid of all those guys in the first year so he really wouldn't have had to handle them at all.

No offense, but Mike came here because we gave him more money than the Bulls. That's really the main reason. Chicago had and still has a better overall roster than us but Thibodeau's defensive schemes have worked at every stop - from New York to Houston to Boston and now Chicago. This guy can coach defense and coach it well. And it doesn't seem like his teams have trouble scoring either, ala Van Gundy. I wanted this guy because I saw what he did for the Celtics and how all the players and even Doc credited him for their championship and I wanted this guy.

He's a Van Gundy disciple who coached here before and knew it was like, even if he was an assistant. We were going nowhere for 2 years anyway so fans were going to be patient regardless. I don't think there were any Fire D'Antoni chants or big time criticism in the media of Mike for the last 2 years. Tom could have survived and done fine.

Why would JVG need a defensive specialist?

I liked JVG, never could figure out why so many fans were happy when he left?

I like JVG for fighting with Morning leg, getting hit by Camby, and because of his cool junk car.
He was one interesting man... not in his place.
He was OK as defensive specialist but had no clue on offense, and he has no clue now.

I liked Jeff but he didn't know how to run offense he never utilized Allan Houston and Sprewell the way he should have.
No layups!

MDA is a proven coach. He's done well with the team this year and when the players are committed to playing hard on D, they show his defensive concepts aren't bad at all. Make no mistake he's the one that is coaching them on both sides and we just saw that it's really on the players to give great effort. Maybe now they're willing to fully buy in. I hope so. He deserves a chance to go to camp with this group and really get them going. Also I want to see the team with help in the middle. We've been playing with a very thin PF/C core.

They say he's not flexible, but he's been adjusting his system to the players we have since he got here. We haven't yet played the full SSOL the way he used to. They used to run off makes and it was nonstop. We haven't done that at all. When we couldn't run either with Zach or Duhon we just slowed it down. He's allowed Billups to set his own pace. He played Balkman and Carter, So clearly he's not totally stubborn.

I'd be cool with JVG too. Pop and Thibs would be a dream for me. It might work a bit better now that we have a 2nd coach in Billups for the time being.

Well, if he is really willing to coach, then by all means bring him. Sloan, Pop and Skiles are probably the 3 coaches I would take over anybody else in the league.

So if the D is bad it's the players fault. If the D is good it's Mike Ds' system. Is their any conceivable situation where he would not do a good job on D? BTW I would love to have you as my boss.

I think Phil Jackson would love to end his career where he started. He loves walking into situations that have stars and he sees potential.

His swan song? would be perfect!!

so here is what phil is thinking ....
