Yup. Donnie didn't make any negative comments, and Dolan knows enough to stay quiet on this one.

Any Isiah quotes on this stuff?

He was asked about the trade and advising and all he kept saying was "I have no comment".

If Isiah says "no comment" I'm guessing he was probably muzzled by Dolan, good news. Hopefully there will be enough good things happening on the court to make the beat writers forget about Isiah.

Stuff will come out, though. Isiah is too proud not to make any comments about his "role" in the "Melo drama."

He may not make the comments in front of a microphone, but he'll crack.

from the Daily News...

"I also will say this very directly, while Isiah Thomas is a friend of mine, a very good friend of mine, he was not at all involved in this process," Dolan said. "He wasn't advising me or telling what to do in any way, and any reports that imply that are simply untrue and fiction in somebody's mind."

I love how Dolan has to tell everyone Isiah is a very good friend of his.

Joseph Goebbels and the "the big lie."

The essential English leadership secret does not depend on particular intelligence. Rather, it depends on a remarkably stupid thick-headedness. The English follow the principle that when one lies, one should lie big, and stick to it. They keep up their lies, even at the risk of looking ridiculous.

Isiah is going to have Dolan's ear. I'm just glad he didn't say "yeah he was a big part of this trade". As long as he stays in the background and Dolan plays down Isiah's involvement, Im ok, even if it isn't true.

Just goes to show everyone just WANTS to believe what they want to believe and no thought goes into it at all.

If you know anything about Dolan, if he was doing something like that, he WANT everyone to know it.

I'm sure you're best buds with Dolan. Thanks for filling us in, Dolan guru.

Illusions commend themselves to us because they save us pain and allow us to enjoy pleasure instead. We must therefore accept it without complaint when they sometimes collide with a bit of reality against which they are dashed to pieces.
