sounds like there won't be a summer league this year due to the labor unrest.. don't ask me for a source, i just remember reading that about a week ago. i'll see if i can dig it up again.

Has anyone heard news about the draft?

There is not going to be a summer league, there will be a draft cause it's prior the cba expiring 6/30/11..think the draft is a week before that

Playing in Europe is exactly what he needed to do in order to be ready for Mike!!! That is a very calculated move. He has the offensive game to be effective in Mike's system. He was just too green and needed some seasoning. You have to have some understanding of the game from a Euro perspective in other words be more than just a big guy standing around out there. You need to know how to move in the offense and see and react properly to what's happening on the floor so you're not in the way, but part of the play. Most of these kids playing in the NCAA don't have that kind of knowledge of the game. Things are kept simple for them. In Europe the bigs are more well rounded and so it was good for Jordan to get some experience in that way.

He's a slim kid and doesn't look like he has a strong base. I doubt he can hold his position against strong post players. He's gonna have to work on that. Should be a good help defender tho. If he can board that would be the biggest plus to having him. We missed having a 7' and long C out there. Hey it's worth a shot to see what he can do.

The irony in all this is that if he was our 12th guy off the bench and had not gone to Europe he would have probably been demanded by Denver to complete that Carmelo trade. Putting him away in Europe for a season could turn out to be a brilliant move by Walsh, if he comes in ready to play.

Maybe. But he's also a project with big upside. We lack size, which he doesn't, so he fits a need.

I think the kid needs to spend the summer hitting some serious weights. It looks to me that if he can add 10-15 ibs of muscle, he could actually be a solid player. We need to bring him over next year and see what he can do. I don't think he is a scrub in the sense that he cannot get off the bench. He looks like he could be a rotation player with a summer of hard work and a solid training camp.
