Not in the least. But he is calling anyone who endorses the trade stupid, just passive-aggressively, which is his right.
Just responding in kind.
The fact is that Dolan did something to Donnie- messed up his cane, or whatever- so he could sit at the table across from Denver, and while at the table he blinked first.
Not a fact.
There is a chance that the trade, as it now stands, did not have to go down the way it did. We don't know this for sure, but our people did not have the guts to stick it out to the end and see if Denver folded, despite the fact that we seemed to be in a superior bargaining position.
"Seemed" has been the biggest mistake people have been making for months. So long as Anthony wanted the extension and was willing to to to NJ or stay in Denver to get it, KNicks position was never as strong as people thought ... wanted it to be.
Yes, there is a chance, and we don't know for sure, but we also don't know why it happened the way and when it happened. Knicks couldn've been told by CAA Anthony couldn't string NJ along all week and they had to make a decision.
I'm just naturally skeptical of fans with absolutely zero piplelines into things, deciding they know better than the people directly involved.
They have every RIGHT to do so, mind you. As I reserve the right to tell them they're being presumptious and letting what he HOPE would happen dictate what they thought could happen.
