Where did you see this?

He is still using a walker to get around, has not travel with the team at all since the operation.
He set up the deal, and dolan worked out the players involved..

IT had nothing to with this deal other then telling dolan to make the deal at any cost, walsh and MDA wanted this deal, minus a player or 2..they all agreed that it was risky to wait for FA..

What role was IT to play, the player wanted to come here, he didn't have to convince nobody

Looks like Walsh and Mike distance themselves from the deal.
I think it is smart. The chances of this to became gigantic failure is huge.
Nobody want to keep this kind of things on their resume.
I do not think both of them will be with Knicks for long.

The only people SPECULATING that Thomas was involved and Dolan PUSHED for this trade has been M.Berman and A. Wojnarowski, two, IMO, very questionable "Sports Writers".

Until I read a quote from Walsh, or Thomas for that matter, I'll take this all with a grain of salt.

haven't seen this - but what if Dolan knew that a franchise tag was likely to be part of the new CBA? He would, I think, rightly push for the deal to get down before that happened.

before walsh quits he needs to find some secondary players

I would focus on Sacremento they are in a real cash bind. maybe we can do something for both landry and dalmebart--something like Azu + 3mm in cash if for Landry a nd to buyout Dalembart with a promise of coming here.

Amar'e said Dolan called him last night to tell him Melo deal was done. "He pretty much kept me in the loop."

I just heard Isola interviewed and he said the same thing. I think Berger has mentioned it as well but I could be wrong.

Interesting. Didn't D'Antoni say he was out of the loop and in fact was a spectator?
