because of Amare the Suns were able to play the Spurs the closest in last season's playoffs. Comeon, Robinson AND Duncan were doubling Amare in the low post, when Amare was a rookie!

Seems to me like u may be over estimating stoudemire a little. He's a very good player but ur making him seem like another version of KG or Duncan
Have you seen him play? He is a very young player but at his young age, he's becoming a dominant one. He's a future kevin and dunkman fo sho. Gotta low-post game like those guys but just not polished enough yet. If he plays, we might be in trouble because of his athletecism and inside presence. Kurt hasn't proved that he can gaurd a guy like that of late.
Imagine if we had him.

The Knicks will win this one by atleast 35 fo sho though.

I know hes very good, and his potential is huge, all I'm saying is that at the present moment he's a couple steps behind players like KG and Duncan
are you kidding me? amare is AS good as KG and as good as Duncan, period.

Yea his 13 points last year really made it a tough call in the MVP race.

Wow - you really can't go by one game or one series even and judge a player. KG and Duncan have proven they are two of the top players in the league for years. By that reasoning someone who watched Cambieman against Indiana in that wonderful playoff run could conclude he was one of the best players in the league.

Duncan was DOMINANT his first year in the league. KG averaged 18+ and 9+ when he was Amares age - it's not clear to me Amare is even better then KG was at the same age and KG has continued to improve.

Amare is not one of the top 20 players in the league - not even close. Potentially he could be great but no GM in the world would trade a Garnet or a Duncan TOP 5 Players for an Amare. Now maybe this all changes in a few years - but until he improves A LOT he's not in there league. Apologize for the rant - especially if you were joking (which seem to me more likely then you really comparing Amare to Duncan and KG).

I think it was mentioned that Amare had better #'s his rookie season than KG did. And Amare has been injured this season...

Amare turned pro at an Older age then KG. AMare is now 21 at 21 KG averaged 18+ and 9+. And truthfully if KG was better or not better then Amare at the same age is not my main point. You specified Amare is better then Duncan and KG now - I don't think it's even close. Duncan and KG were I believe 1,2 in MVP voting last year. They are top 5 players. Amare is NOT close to their level. He may POTENTIALLY be as good as they are. But as of now he ain't close. PS - Injuries are part of the game and stop many folks from reaching their potential - else Grant Hill and Penny are top 10 guys in the league.

Van Horn and Marbury combining for 60+, Nets fans must be going nuts lol. Nice game by Penny, once again he has 2 blocks and it is becoming a great mistery of why in the world is he blocking people more then OH can dream of, the dude is like 6'7" former PG. Every time he blocks a shot its like what?!?
Doleac had 10 boards and 2blks again, is it just me or is he turning into a real C? No longer just a shooter from 15'. Its funny but I think signing Doleac was Laydumb's best move
Another thing, anybody think it would be a great celebration if we managed to trade Houston and Thomas for lowpost scoring PF and a decent shooting SG? Something like Wallace and Person, I'm just giving an example, this trade most lilky dosn't work.
All in all great win for us, welcome to the 7th place lookin up at the 6th with one foot practially being there already.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

It was really Marbury who nearly ended the Spurs run in the playoffs last yr. He carried that team on his shoulders and made everyone around him better such as Amare and Shawn M.

God I was living on all of marbury's 3's. When he made those 2 3s from a foot or 2 behind the 3 point line, i jumped up like they were game winning 3s. Then in the 3rd with the second of those back to back 3s, I heard doug whatshisname make a comment like "Oh he can't make this can he?" Almost had a heart attack.

Very emotional game for me

The Real test is NOT on Tues.
The Knicks should lose on Tues. They are not in the Pacers class. The real test is the games they won the last two days. They beat teams they should beat on the road and in back to back situations. The knicks are 1 all star post up player away from competing with the detroits and pacers of the east.

If the knicks play like the 3rd or 4th best team in the east they pass the test as far as I am concerned. To say playing the pacers and losing is failing the test is not fair.
