If IT was here melo would have been a knick, probably for a lot more chips, but he would have most certainly been a knick already. As much as I despise Dolon, If this was mark cuban people would be appluading him.

This is Dolans team, and no matter how you look at him, he was the one who got walsh here, so how bad can he really be. He has always tried to field a winner through his pockets, rather then his brain.

His friendship with IT is his choice, I'm sure will all **** with somebody that everybody else wonders why you still deal with that person, weather that be a chic, or a buddy who's and ass. you believe you know them better then everybody else.

Too bad it wasn't Dolan who was all-in with Madoff. Would love to see him lose everything and try to make it as a regular joe.
The new new core: Randle, RJ, IQ. Maybe Mitch. Future pick. Future trade. Future FA.

The whole "dolan sucks" thing is not that black and white.

Look at it from Denvers side. If Jimmy is talking to Stan then one might think its Warky who is advising on this?

Why would this be a good thing? The Sooner than later thing serves the fans purpose of instant gradification. Of course fans want it now!! But I I could guess you have to look at Denvers structure right now. Stan is not on the day to day, He has a rookie GM who has to be scared out of his mind and the Son who is in his first year of ownership and also might be undecided. Dolan could be very well calling to say walsh is telling him Denvers front office is disfuntional at this point and with a deadline coming its not being handled professionally on his end and perhaps our offer is what it is not going to get better.

Jimmy may be also saying there is no improper contacts with Melo or his people but we would need to talk to his reprsentation on the extension and that MSG lawyers need to look at the extension. Despite all the "reports" you want to make sure Melo does sign it and everything done proper to safeguard everyones interests.

Maybe Dolan has a relationship and is being empathetic with Kroenke because Denver is going to look bad and we will be as gentlmanly as we can. Denver has a public relations problem brewing.

If they go long in the playoffs it makes money, keeps Melo perhaps interested and season tix renewals up.

ON the other hand they trade melo, the team tanks and us is one and done in the playoffs they slide in revenue.

This is just not about the knicks. Losing Melo means the value of the Nugg franchise drops along with revenue.

What can jimmy do? Im not sure but when two leaders get together often things gets done. Walsh's opinion and what he wants to do is not absolute and we don't know anyting. THe proposed Curry, chandler, AR (Pick) to Minny thing is not substantiated and is likely if true a starting point. Thats what I want to happen but its not about the fans, its about the roster.

Why are people still operating under the impression Anthony can be had for "free" during the offseason? Knicks won't have the cap room. Chandler would have to be renounced AND a few million more would have to be cleared.

Denver still owes us for phenagalling us to trade the 9th pick in the draft for McDyss. I'm still salty over that one. Nene would have beena nice peice to have over the years.

Thats why a trade using chandler is logical for us. Chandler is gone.

agreed he needs to get traded by deadline in melo deal or somewhere else otherwise we will loose him like denver loses melo for nothing...if we trade chandler in next two weeks like to think we can get something of value back for him even though he is RFA

yeah. and it sounds like the Nuggets are worried about his injury history at this point, which might be valid.

either way, i don't see the knicks signing him this summer. the ankle is becoming an issue.

Not the issue.

The point is there is less net gain in waiting until the offseason than some people seem to continue to think there is.

Pure smoke on that 1. Bynum has bad knees and why would they trade him to a western c team?
