I never really liked KG but when he was in Minnesota I respected the guy. He's always talked a lot but it seems like when he went to Boston he started to whine more and play a little more dirty, perhaps cause his skills were eroding .

I 'm not sure what was wrong with what Jackson said. His role is to give the player perspective.

Agree on mark jackson. You hear his commentary on the game and he doesn't really bring anything new or interesting. I do like the clippers commentary guy a lot tho. I think his name is Mike Smith.

That wasnt intentional.

Kevin Garnett is a jackass ON the court but the guy is a competitor 24/7. I take his antics over losers like Curry.

The more I see him pulling this stuff, the more clear it is how the NBA caters to certain players. My opinion is that he should be suspended; he's trying hurt people with stunts like this. Undercutting a guy and trying to whack him in the nads is bush-league.

about to say the same thing. i really did like him in minny. but since he has gotten older and his skills have reduced he has been trying to level the field by being dirty. now i cant stand him...... tho if they play the heat or celtics, i will rather have the celts win.

Kevin Garnett harshly tells off Laker ball boy
Posted by Royce Young

Just a couple days from possibly disrupting Channing Frye's ability to make children and a few months removed from alledgedly calling Charlie Villanueva a "cancer patient," Kevin Garnett did something new.

Nothing surprising for Garnett, but something new. After yesterday's Lakers/Celtics game, both Yahoo's Marc Spears and ESPN's J.A. Adande tweeted that when asked for his autograph, Garnett told a Lakers ball boy "you've got a better chance of catching Bin Laden."

If you're desperately trying to take offense to the comment itself, don't. There's nothing wrong with it. It was clever, really.

But this is just another example of what a jerk Garnett is. I know you're thinking, "Well, it's the Lakers and the Celtics hate the Lakers." No, it's every team. Andrew Bogut tweeted about Garnett's comment saying, "Little better than what he told one of our ball boys." And having a couple friends that are ball boys in Oklahoma City, I have heard similar stories about Garnett telling off autograph seekers in a not nice way.

I guess it says something about Garnett not caring about image in any way, shape or form. Obviously, he doesn't care what we think about him. I suppose that's admirable in some weird way. It also says he's a mean person to anyone that's not a teammate, family member or friend.

The tweets were deleted from both writers' accounts, but the reason isn't what you might it is. Both told Deadspin that the overwhelming number of retweets and responses was so big that it made their phones unusable. So they deleted the tweet since the news was already out there.

KG is upset that LeDouche took over as most hated player in the NBA and he is trying to get that back.

I couldn't see the vid but I've said a thousand times Garnett is just a jackass. I remember one game david lee was keeping a hand on KG off the ball and garnett kept slapping his hand away and acting like a baby. Then there was that one game garnett hit the game winning buzzer beater recently after he had a horrible shooting game and kept letting harrington drive past him. He went crazy after that shot dropping f bombs.(They could have both been the same game) plus he swats every practice shot away from the hoop.

I thought this was well put:

Alvin Gentry:

“I used to be a big fan of [Kevin Garnett],” he said. “Some of the antics he’s pulled lately, you don’t need to do that as a star player. I’ve never seen Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant or even a Dwyane Wade do that….”

“You can compete and play hard, that doesn’t need to be a part of it. It really doesn’t,” he said. “To do that to someone you can seriously hurt him,” he said. “You know the fact that all of a sudden Channing comes down on his foot twice on jump shots that’s a very dangerous play.

“If you’re asking me, yeah, I lost a little respect for him. I love his competitive nature but there is no place for what he was doing in our game.”

Garnett is an emotional dude on the court. The same thing that makes him a jerk makes him a great player. He has that drive that most players lack. He HATES losing.

What's your most memorable conversation with a player during a game?
This is really surprising, and this is all true. The only time that it's ever really gotten nasty was with Reggie Miller. But we were friends before that and we've been friends since then. When I go to the games, it's to have fun. I'm respectful. If I say a player missed a shot, that's not talking about your mother, your family; it's all good nature. The players enjoy talking to me and I enjoy talking to them.

But this last time against Boston -- you know that game where they disallowed Stoudemire’s 3? -- Kevin Garnett lost it. He was cursing me out for no reason. Maybe because Stoudemire gave him 39 points, but take that vulgarity to Stoudemire. I'm not holding you and I did not even say s--- to Garnett the whole game. That really surprised me. He lost it. He was cursing at me the whole game. He needs to calm the f--- down.

I remember the year the Celts won there was a slogan they were using and it was very marketable. I remember when they finally won the the championship right after the game and Garnett was being interviewed and he looks up at the ceiling, or god and in his moment of glory, all sweaty from being a warrior and now the ultimate moment of a warrior on the field of battle to claim his victory he flubbed the line! Got it wrong.

We were laughing at him cuz you could see the false moment building and just crumble.

In the long run Marbury leaving this dude in Minny was not a bad idea. Although the thought of both of them would have made for great drama had they stuck it through.
