But let's not conveniently forget that Miami had the best record in the East just a week ago before LeBron got injured, and they achieved that record without Miller or Haslem for the most part -- their two most significant role players.Every "expert/critic" claimed Boston had no depth when they made the KG and Allen trades, and what do you know...they win the championship their first year together.
co-sign to the fullest.
we ain't competing with miami without another big star or some unexpected leap in performance by someone else to superstar levels, and some other really good moves.
miami's losing streak is far too small of a size to indicate what "happens"...just like was the way they started the year...
meanwhile they are still one of the top teams in the east and should be able to improve their roster weaknesses over the next few seasons...while still competing for a title.
i'm with you both... Miami's recent struggles is a blip on the radar for that team... they are struggling with some injuries to their top stars but they've already shown their quality in winning 20 of 21 game stretch before... our team is not gonna beat them in a playoff series w/o another high impact star player.
Couple years ago, the rockets went on a all out tear during the season and won 22/23 games, and proceeded to get bonuced out of the 1st rnd.
IMO you play the regular season just to get into the playoffs, after that it's a new season, a we have seen 60 win teams get bounced out of the playoffs easily
