It really is not a cool thing to do in terms of treating players like meat. I know its a business but most NBA teams do refrain from this and knicks do have a history of taking care of players as long as they are genuine in their efforts.

I see a general trend of thinking among UK'ers that the ceiling is set on this team and its players and we should move to trade.

While I have not a crystal ball, its also important to still be patient to some degree because they can still get better. Im not against any player moves, just not blowing the team up for Melo.

To me the only knock against Amare winning the MVP is really the fact that Felton is the one who facilitates the space and movement on this team. This is why Nash got all the MVP awards. Im not taking AMare's season for granted and he is in my eyes the 1st half MVP but you remove Felton your asking for a lot of problems.

Felton is not a "better player" then Melo, but he would me more important to the franchise.

Amare might be the league MVP thus far but Felton is the knick MVP!

Nash's MVPs are not deserved. He's a great player. Amazing even. But MVP has never meant the facilitator of space and movement, and it has never meant someone who makes players better as is so often bandied aabout. It means you are the most valuable player in the league. Michael Jordan didn't make other players better so much as he was an extremely dominant force on the court. Jason Kidd made players better, while playing excellent man to man defense and leading a mediocre team to 2 finals appearances. He never won an MVP and was not in the runnings for it either. Nash did not deserve those MVPs if Jason Kidd did not.

You know, as time goes on the debate is really died down. In fact, to confirm the controversial MVP he won, they gave him another.

A guy who can score, dish assists and facilitate space and movement on a top 3 record team in the REGULAR SEASON is an MVP. Kidd could not shoot like Nash.

Is it debatable? Sure. Is his TWO MVP's factoral? Yup.
